Poured from the squatty bottle into a chalice glass. The color is hazy golden, with a persistent stream of bubbles from the center that keeps the head going like a bukka....well, it's persistent. The smell is apricots and peaches, with a hint of rose hips. The taste is much crisper than the smell portends. Tart apples, hops, and a finish you could cut yourself shaving on. Very refreshing and definitely belying its strength. More like a Belgian strong pale ale than a tripel but delicious no matter what you call it. The malt note at the onset is the only thing that betrays its tripel nature. The mouthfeel is carbonation tingly followed by a creamy finish. The drinkability is very good. The alcohol is nothing more than a slightly warm end to a delightfully balanced beginning. Yes. Yest, yes, yes, yes, yes.
