Excellent Trippel hat pours a golden caramel color with a slight orange hue. Very high alcohol content that leaves a bit of burn on the tongue. Smooth when going down, smells of high end and quality brewed malts. A very good beer that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys trippels or high alcohol content beers.

Pours a translucent to hazy orange, with a nice head of soapy bubbles, that gather at edges and provided a little lacing. Nice swirl brings carbonation back, and a currant and grape nose, with maybe an unexpected hint of mint.

The taste follows the nose pretty well, save for the mint. That is replaced by a farmhouse hay/earth taste. However, the beer is a bit on the sweet side, brown sugar and raisin, maybe, as well as a bit of dry wine grape tastes. The carbonation holds up, adding an accent on the tongue to the otherwise decent bodied beer.

I enjoyed this beer, even though it might be a bit sweet for some. I think the Belgian yeast combines with this sweetness to give that wine taste at the end. Note to self to be in the mood for this, as I could see my enjoyment different at a different time.
