Is it a tripple or an IPA on steroids?
Difficult.
But it is a great beer.
Made with Duvel yeast. Poured in a Duvel glass at 6 degrees celsius. From a 330ml bottle. Quite explosive when opening. Highly carbonated and yeasting on the bottle.
Smell, Duvel yeast with citra hops. Grapefruity with a little bit of lovely dirty yeast.
Mouth feel, quite sensational. Lot of things happening. Sweet, tingling, sour, bitter. It is hard to believe this beer is not garpefruit infused
. But I think it is not, Citra hops.
Duvel made different dry hoped infused tripples during the years, different variations of this ultra hopped and abv-strong IPA. This one is not the best I taste, but it is still one of the best beers I ever had.

Look: pale banana yellow, somewhat hazy. Towering frothy head.
Smell: citrusy hops, evident by the moment you pour it. A bit of wheat too.
Taste: I'm usually not a big fan of Belgian IPAs but these guys have nailed it quite a lot. Typical belgian phenols (clove, I think) and fruity esters (banana) combined with a refreshing citrus hop kick and a pleasantly bitter aftertaste. Only spoiled by a bit too much rubbing alcohol.
Feel: medium to large body, dry finish without being astringent, quite on the tripel side.
Overall: outstanding industrial beer.

From Belgium in a Box. In Teku glass. Playing Magic Duels vs Lorenzo. More citrusy, refreshing and bit more watery than the normal Duvel. Im not sure if I prefer it over the normal one, but this is very good too. Very foamy, had to pour it in 2 steps.
