Enjoyed at Peppercorns...Woah it's been a while!

A - Poured into a snifter a nice dark clear chestnut brown hue with light garnet hints. Thin off white head fades to leave light wisps and halo.

S - Aromas of big rum notes, barrel, vanilla, caramel, toffee, sweet malts, molasses.

T - Taste is more big almost nutty rum barrel notes, nut, caramel, light molasses, char barrel. Still loads of rum for the age, Nice vanilla too with good light alcohol burn which is to be expected.

M - Mouthfeel is lowly carbonated, a sipper, however this works for the style. Definitely a creeper!

O - Overall this beer was quite tasty, very rum aromatic with good barrel notes. Tasty.

Had on tap at the Anniversary party.

Little too almost no head, clear chestnut ruby beer. A little disappointing for a draft pour even with a higher abv.

Nose explodes, and I mean explodes with barrel and rum, yes rummy up the wazoo, with a big vanilla barrel and even some barrel char, big sweet candy malt below, sweet raw molasses, boot strap, and caramel toffee syrup, little butterscotch candy, toffee candy, like worthers original, lots of raw molasses and rum.

Taste starts with lots of candy, butterscotch, toffee, caramel creams candy, and plenty of raw molasses again, more like a white molasses. Then the heat comes through, warming slight tingly, with a big rum flavor, fresh rum. Barrel is there but lighter than I thought, with mild vanilla and hint of toasted oak. Great rum and molasses blended surprisingly smooth. Finish is sticky and still fairly sweet, little booze warmth and tingle, more syrupy molasses and nice rum lingering with mild barrel.

Mouth is fuller bod, fairly syrupy and sticky, some warming tingly booze, lighter bit decent carb.

Overall quite nice, very rummy and lots of molasses and nice strong syrupy candy malts, without getting too sweet. Slow sipper for sure, but very enjoyable.

ACBF pour

A-Pours brown with a reddish hue. The only head is a ring of bubbles along the surface of my cup.

S-Sweet caramel and dark fruits. Brown sugar and an attractive rum note. The barrel character isn't too assertive but it's consistent.

T-Sweet caramel, a bit of dark fruit (not Belgiany by any means). Some cola and molasses. The rum barrel is similar to what I found in the nose but it works better here.

M-Soft carbonation. Full body. Rich and sweet with lingering flavors. Alcohol is present.

O-A tasty brew that received some nice barrel treatment. One of the more memorable beers from the festival.
