Very attractive unfiltered golden-yellow brew, topped with a very nice snow white head with excellent retention.
Grainier and maltier than expected, both on the nose and the palate. Hops lean toward citrus, with perhaps just a hint of tropical juiciness.
Fairly - and surprisingly - thick mouthfeel for the ABV. I found that enjoyable, but I understand that many would prefer their IPAs to be lighter and easier.

Draft at Yarde Tavern. Golden pour, cloudy, small white creamy head, lacing. Light hoppy aroma with citrusy notes. Taste starts bitter, pine and grapefruit peel. Finishes bitter too. Nice feel.

From pint can dated 6/13/23,poured into a 12 oz pub glass. Golden colored A lingering head from 2 down to 1 finger.
Scent of grapefruit and some tropical and citrus smells.
Taste is a good complex bitterness which lasts on the palate. A good example of an old school AIPA. This will be on my regular rotation.

Be Hoppy is the most beautiful shade of gold I’ve seen on an IPA. I love the bitterness of this beer, which has an IBU of 70. It’s one of the most memorable tasting IPAs I’ve ever come across. I buy it at Rapid Liquors in Stoneham, MA, in pint-sized cans. If I were just going on taste alone, it would be my number one IPA. But drinking two of them on a single day is going to cause me a bit of gastric unhappiness, which is why I’m up at 3:30 AM writing a beer review. That I continue to drink it from time to time is a measure of my fondness for this wonderfully enticing creation from Wormtown Brewery.

Served on tap in a 22 oz glass
Appearance – The beer is served a clear golden color with a small head of white foam. The head fades rather fast leaving lots of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is heaviest of a tropical fruit smell mixed with aromas of tangerine and grapefruit. Along with these smells comes a pine hop and a bit of earthiness.
Taste – The taste follows the nose fairly well, with a crisp cracker and bready malt flavor that is paired with some light tangerine and pineapple sweetness. At the same time there is a dc=ecent showing of a grapefruit hop. As the taste advances more grapefruit comes to the tongue, while the sweet fades a touch. All the while some pine and earth join in, and leave one with a rather crisp and clean west coast-like hopped up flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is light to medium in thickness with a moderate carbonation level. For the crisp tastes and flavors, the feel is good and makes for a nice sipper.
Overall – A rather pleasant brew overall with a good flavor profile. A good go to IPA.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a pint glass; no birth date. Opaquish dark yellow with two fingers of foamy head; great retention. Bitter hops with subtle floral and citrus notes... not overpowering on either side. Very good.

From a 16oz can dated 11/1/22 into a 12oz hotel glass.
Pours a translucent yellowish orange with about one finger of white head. Ok retention, great lacing.
Aroma is straight-up marijuana, dirt, pine and citrus rind. Like hanging out in a crawlspace.
Taste follows but stronger than the nose. Bitter pine and resin, grass and a touch of earth.
Sticky, medium to full-bodied mouthfeel. Strong bitter aftertaste. Low carbonation.
For a "smaller" abv IPA, this one knocks it out of the park. Very nice job, Wormtown!
