poured from 22 oz bottle into Ommegang tulip. Bottled date June 2013
A - pours a nice IPA hazy, golden orange with about a fingers worth of white head. Really nice looking IPA.
S - right up front there is a big citrus, tropical fruit aroma with floral grassy notes underneath. Not a huge smelling beer but a pretty good smell to it.
T - the taste is all hops and nothing else. There's no taste of melon or any tropical fruit. There might be a little citrus there, perhaps lemon peel but this is mostly floral with a piney astringency to it.
M - decent amount of carbonation on the tongue leaving the mouth tasting great and with that hop bitterness. No dry finish with this.
O - this is a really good tasting IPA and at 6.5% very easy to drink. Its a pretty light beer so its not real filling or heavy. The taste is all hops and very little other characteristics to it which prevents it from blowing me away. There isn't too much going on with this on, just a straight up good tasting IPA. I would definitely purchase this again but there are much better IPAs out there. I wouldn't stick my nose up with this one. Really solid.

Served from 16 oz. can
A - From what I could tell, a nice hazy straw color.
S - Zesty hop aromas, including orchid, lemon, tangerine, and wildflower honey.
T - Exceptionally floral with a strong citrus presence as well. Notes of lemongrass, too. The malt has a vibrant honey biscuit flavor to it. The aftertaste has a touch of bitterness to accompany the lingering flowery taste.
M - Medium bodied and refreshing.
O - A great IPA - certainly a New England standout. The moderate ABV makes it an ideal summertime sipper.

Pleasant find during a recent dining out. Very hoppy as the name suggests, but won't overwhelm the pallet (it paired nicely with some pub fair). The ABV makes this one a little more drinkable than some similar style beers. I would definitely buy this in a store.

Beautiful deep golden color; hazy unfiltered appearance. Huge creamy white head that lasts and lasts; when it does die down a nice thick layer of foam remains on the surface of the beer and lots of sticky lacing remains on the sides of the glass. Wonderful hoppy aroma; made me want to drink the beer. Initial smooth malty flavor followed by a delicious smooth hoppy taste with a slightly dry finish. Delicious. Medium body due to being unfiltered, lots of initial carbonation and a slightly dry finish. Overall a great IPA; one of my favorites!
