Very cold bottle poured into Stone IRS glass. Bottles July 2012.

A. Between 1 and 2 finger white foamy head forms that slowly goes down leaving behind some lacing and rocky foam. The body is a hazy orange burst that reminds me of a middle school photo shot. Carbonation is pretty active in the glass when I play around with it. Looks pretty nice.

S. Grassy and piney hops come out big time right away. Some bitter citrus like lemon and grapefruit are present behind the pine. Somewhat sweet toward the end of the nose.

T. Piney green bitterness upfront that fades to some grapefruit. Malt comes out in the middle when the bitterness comes down. Finish is pretty tame with a light floral and citrus flavor. Interesting IPA but I feel its missing anther component.

M. Medium to heavier thickness on the tongue and finished somewhat sticky. Somewhats heavy carbonation explodes after every sip making a pretty full feeling beer.

O. I like how Wormtown utilized hops in every possible area of the brew. Definitely an interesting brew and glad I was able to drink one.

A: hazy dark golden. Head forms quickly but fades, leaving consistent lacing.
S: Deep down, I get orange peels...but on the surface, wet dog. There is a dank, wet musty smell here. Not bad, and citrus comes behind it.
T: Very different than the smell. Malty, with a strong blend of hops coming through and solid bitterness. It says 120 IBUS, but I don't buy it. This is never harsh. The malt and alcohol blend nicely with the hops. Quite balanced.
M: rich and luscious. This is a very mouth coating IPA.
O: a terrific beer. I really appreciate a DIPA that is well made and balanced, not off the rails with bitterness or booze. Will get this again.

I believe this to be the perfect beer. It has a very similar makeup and taste to Heady, but I actually enjoy this one just a bit more. Bravo

Pours a murky amber color. This brew is extremely fresh, even though it was bottled 8 weeks ago. Aroma is strong, citrusy, piney, resiny. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, with a fresh taste to it. A blast of hops right from the start with a moderate bitterness.

A - Beautiful orange/peach coloring to the body, with a nice, thick head. The coloring reminds me of those Haribo Gummi peaches. After a few sips, the lacing became quite pronounced.

S - Wow. The label boasts "Hops were addd in every conceivable part of the brewing process" and it sure does smell like it. Very fruity, like mango and strawberries give the aroma a huge boost.

T - Very impressive double IPA right here... there's a sweetness here that mixes well with the hops and gives it a significant fruit flavor. Vanilla tones, too.

M - THe sugariness stays with you, but overall balance of hops is very well done.

O - Get ready for a great IPA here, and if you're on the hunt for one with a fruity edge, look no further. I really enjoyed this beer and would recommend it to any fan of double IPAs.

Poured into a tulip glass, produced a nice inch thick head.

I must say for 120+ IBU's, it is incredible drinkable. The first sip I took, I immediately knew I tasted something, but couldn't put my finger on it. Another sip or two, and I had it. I know this might sound strange, but I get a subtle taste of strawberries.

The aftertaste is clean and crisp, again, not what I would expect from a DIPA with 120+ IBUs. In my opinion, the aroma from the bottle as soon as I uncapped it was amazing, but after poured into a glass the aroma was a bit lost.

This is an exceptional beer. Wormtown set the bar high with Be Hoppy, and this beer did not dissapoint.
