Not pulling any punches, Wormtown sets out to batter the tastebuds with bitterness hot on the heels of Sorachi Ace, Bravo and Summit hops. Built in the imperial, West Coast style, the ale might seem too much, but it fits right at home for seasoned hop heads.
And it's with a deep copper, moderately hazy pour that Buddha's Juice begins to entice the senses with a billowing scent of citrus, grassy, candy and tropical fruit. Sweeter on the palate, the early impressions of caramel are also honey-like, nutty and toasty in light granola form.
As the hops unfold on the middle palate, the full and fruity taste takes the lead. Orange, red grapefruit and lemon remain on the forefront of taste but a followup of pineapple and mango lurk closely behind before a creeping bitterness starts to command the balance. Trending resinous, peppery, spicy and piney, the late taste shies away from fruit and favors the gripping grassy and herbal bitterness to close.
Full bodied but drying from a combination of curracao-like liquor and hop resins, the bold beer is dangerously drinkable, hop balanced and a sure delight for those anti-haze hop heads out there.

Deep golden in color, but not very clear. Head was white with a slight golden hint. Nose is slightly citrus. Taste is citrusy with a piney flavor across the back of mouth. Only a bit of bitterness, could use more.

Picked-up a four-pack of cans recently at Luke's in Plymouth for about eighteen dollars. Canned on date of 12/28/22. My eighth brew reviewed from these guys. Just ok for me, too boozy.

So I had never had a beer brewed with Buddha’s hand (or the fruit) until the Kettle Sour from Japas that came in the Extreme Beer Box last month. It’s still not quite clear to me what flavors it brings, but it’s akin to lemon-lime so I’m excited to try this one
Pours an opaque deep orange gold with 3 fingers of off white head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves decent lacing
Even at nearly 3 months old, this is super vibrant in the nose. I’m picking up on aromas of orange juice, lime zest, crackery malt, white pepper, herbal hops, lemon zest, and light toast
It’s a bit more muddled in taste, but even with the lack of clarity it’s pretty good. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting orange zest, bready malt, caramel, and lemon zest. The swallow brings notes of grapefruit rind, caramel malt, lime zest, herbal hops, and a touch of fusel alcohol
A medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a slick beer. Finishes mostly dry but a bit muddled as I mentioned
This is pretty good but nothing amazing. A damn shame the taste couldn’t match the aroma

16 oz can.
Pours a hazy deep amber gold color with a 2 finger off-white head. The head is sudsy with stubborn retention. Leaves a crown of lacing along the glass as it slowly dissipates.
Aromas of citrus upfront, namely orange and grapefruit. A little bit of lemon zest and pine.
The flavor is sweeter and brings more malt and tropical notes. Starts off citrusy, lots of grapefruit and lemon with some tangerine. There's a bit of pineapple and stone fruit with a significant caramel malt presence. Finishes slightly piney and earthy. Nicely balanced.
The feel is medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. Creamy and very smooth. Some light booze.
Overall, this is a great DIPA. It's definitely closer to a West Coast style with the piney hops and sweet caramel malt. It's well-balanced and hides the alcohol nicely.

Canned towards the end of December. Pours an amber gold color, mostly clear, with a huge head that sticks like a DIPA should. The Duvel tulip is covered with tenacious residual foam.
The smell is a citrus peel smack in the face, but with undertones more reflective of a West coast IPA. There is a promise of bitterness, and maybe a bit of the dankness.
Oh, indeed...the taste is citrus rind and pith, but has a nice sweetness to counterbalance the sledgehammer blow. A bit of caramel. Bitter hits hard after this with pine coming out contributing to a big but brief hit of bitterness. There is a lingering aftertaste of grapefruit-like citrus. No clue what a Buddha's hand tastes like - I've only seen it in the wild once, so I will take their word for it. It isn't really reading like any of the typical citrus fruits, but it easily identifies as a citrus amalgamation with multiple elements. On continued sipping, the big citrus dominates less and it rounds out more with the malts and sweetness. Very nice. There is a very vague spicy note I can't quite identify, right on the tongue in the aftertaste and crazily enough it strikes me as cinnamon-like.
The mouth feel is medium, a bit creamy, yet lively with just enough carbonation. There is a numbing sensation that I equate with citrus peel oil. Slightly astringent but not overly drying on the finish.
It's more of an old school DIPA representing well with the bitter, pine resin, and a supporting sweetness with gobs of citrus.

Pours a translucent dark orange with a short lived head with some lacing.
Smells of citrus and piney hops. Tastes of orange and citrus with a mildly bitter hop finish. The alcohol hides well.
Medium heavy body with light carbonation. Slightly syrupy mouthfeel.
This brewery is my best find in the past year , and they continue to please!

Minor head but it has longevity. Excellent rings of lace after each sip. The liquid is hazy with a light red-brown color.
Juicy-fruit aroma with a touch pine resin. Sweet like a tropical punch.
The flavor leans sweet like the smell but there's a notable raw hop pellet finish. The body is appropriate, leaning rich but with ample carbonation. The aftertaste has balance although the bitterness lasts longer than the rest of the flavors.
