Brewed using only NY grown Barley, Rye, Roasted Oats, and hops. On tap at Peppercorn's/Wormtown home base.

Nice creamy head forms in the tulip glass, hits almost a finger, a rosy colored creamy head that leaves light lacing, over a hazy but bright reddish cranberry rosy colored beer.

Nose is unique, toasted aromas come out strong, toasted malts, touch of oats even, sweet malts with light caramel and hint nutty toffee like but I don't think either is actually there just sweet reddish candy malts. Hops are interesting, lightly floral, almost grassy and earthy, hint spicy. Also a touch of the rye and very light booze.

Taste starts with a toasty almost biscuity malts flavor, plenty of toasted oats, quite toasted, and faint hints of toasted caramel and syrupy sweetness. Light fruity rye characters come out, with more faint sweet malts. Hops are interesting again, slightly kiwi like in the earthiness and slight grassy but a bit of the spiciness if the American hops, and slight chewy hops and malts feel. Hint of booze comes through with the fair bitterness of the hops. Finish is drier but a little sticky, lingering earthy spicyish hops, light sweet toasty caramel like malts and fruity rye lingering too, but mostly the spicy chewy hops.

Mouth is med bodied, decent carb.

Overall not bad, quite a unique beer, with unique malt bill between the sweet reddish malts, toasted oats, and rye, and unique hops as well that bring a cross between spicy earthy American hops and earthy grassy floral kiwi hops. They all blend fairly well to an overall fairly tasty beer. Although the more I drink, the more that candy malt taste in the middle starts to get slightly overwhelming.
