Dropped in when passing through on business - not too far off I-75, and was not sure what to expect (based on the other reviews)

When you come in the front door, the beers are right there on your RH side - and i was VERY impressed with the selection
Green Flash (Pallate Wrecker, WCIPA), Ballast Point, Stone, North Coast,Mendocino, etc - lots of great IPA's to choose from
Lots of singles to make 6-packs, and the pricing was reasonable

Came down from Ontario, and Chris (Store Director) made me feel right at home, and was happy to talk beer, and also was willing to beer bring in for me - thanks for the great service selection Chris! :)

if i lived within 50 miles of this place i would be there on a weekly basis :)

I highly recommend Rays!

This is one of two places I go when I'm in Lima for decent beer. It is a grocery store, so you won't be getting any help and it is busy with families buying groceries. The up side is that there is a ton of good beers to be had. They have all the regulars and some seasonals from DFH, Stone, Bells, Founders, Lagunitas, and others. They also have some decent imports like St. Bernardus 12. You can mix your own sixer too. The one thing I would recommend is that you check dates, they have some old ones on the shelves. Prices are par for the course.

grocery store! Very large selection for a grocery store. The beer buyer/distributor connection is excellent as they will special order any beer that is available hence the excellent in the service area. However the rest of the staff isn't too knowlegable about the extensive selection carried. The selection runs from Lambics, Barleywines, Porters, doublebocks, Belgian Abbey and Trappists, Germans, Japanese, Chinese, Mexican, and from breweries such as Bells, Great Lakes, Dogfish head, Troegs, Laguanitas, Cimay, St. Bernardus, North Coast, Seirra Nevada, Great Divide, just to mention a few. There are 5 shelves of singles 15 to 17 across, then there are the 4 packs, and six packs, and the 25 oz bottles.

Of the Rays stores in this area, thisone seems to be the best one for its wide selection.

Plenty of parking out front of this store that was remodeled within the past few years.

Walk in to the right and your greated by the craft beer area that offers sixers, singles of just about all they sell with build your own. They also offer bombers from the likes os Stone, ommagang and many others. They also carry mini-kegs from Bells.

Another section within the store, by the frozen foods are beer coolers. Open design to see everything from craft, inports to the macro stuff. That same isle offers the imports in sixers and bombers. The end caps offer some of the seasonal selection.

Worth the stop if your looking for a better choice for your beer.

Went here today after a year ago, and this place's beer selection continues to grow immensely. Immediately when you walk through the door, the high end craft brews are on the right. They have beers ranging from Southern Tier to Stone. They have a decent foreign import section there too, but there are a whole bunch by the coolers. There they have a great selection of Sierra Nevada mainstream beers and some other craft brews. In the same area they have the BMC junk too. The guy stalking the shelves new a bit about what he was working with, and was up on releases of seasonables. It's a typical grocery store at the same time, but don't let that fool you, for this is your best bet to find some craft beer in the Lima land area.
