Another cool bar within the few block area on King Street. Walking inside the bar is located in the front and to the right, and to the left there is a bunch of disparate couches, chairs, and tables that fill the rest of the front space. Plenty of brick and wood. There is a back restaurant section that has an open kitchen view, booths, and a big community table set for 12.
There were 36 beers on draft here, and the list was interesting. A good mix of locals from NC and SC, and some bigger brands like Lagunitas, Victory, Anderson Valley, and Ommegang. For me the local list was intersting. I stopped here twice over a few days and enjoyed both visits. The service was friendly and very knowledgable. Small food selection here but I had a sandwich which was good but the fries were soggy and limp which is a big turnoff for me.
This should be on any visitors list as a place to get a good local beer.

Uptown on King Street. A nice place to stop in while perusing the shops.
The selection is above average - lots of locals minus Westbrook and Coast (an ongoing theme in CHS). The big negative here is no flights but one pre-established for the day. So if you want to try whatever beer, you can get a shot glass full or a 12 oz pour. That aside, service was great with the bartenders being very nice. Would go back again but not for than one drink.

Fantastic beer bar. Great atmosphere and eclectic decor, including Michael Jackson book pages wallpapering the restrooms. Unusual unique artworks, taxidermy, rustic wood paneling, collections of stuff, just lots to look at in a comfortable setting. Tables and bar seating up front, full kitchen with a dining room in the back, including some cozy booths.
We sat at the bar, and got very good service. The bartender was helpful and accommodated my requests for samples, and tried a few himself since many were new for his shift. They had a tap takeover even the previous night for Charleston beer week, 40+ taps, all SC beers. I easily sampled over a dozen local beers during my visit. There were too many to keep track of, and I had to narrow down a short list of ones I wanted to try. Freehouse Life of Don was a highlight, and Holy City Yeast Wrangler fresh on tap was great.
Food: Fried green beans were seriously addictive, served with a homemade ranch and crispy with tempura. Fried buffalo oysters were unique and pretty tasty too. Menu was mainly apps and sandwiches.
CFB is a must if you're in Charleston.

C4B has helped usher the craft beer scene into Charleston. Great location, rotating selection, and great food. Really neat beer encycolpedia wallpaper in the restrooms. Great vibe, but get there early.

Big bar area and ample seating for dining. Large selection of Local and national handcraft beer on tap. Full service liquor bar. Tasty lunch spot; try the grilled cheese and tomato soup. Easy to find downtown, with on street metered parking.

Only stopped in for a few burs last night (no food). Cool vibe, very craft focused - some pretty rare and unexpected selections (Crooked Stave Surette... Whaaaaat?!?!). Menu looked pretty limited, and unhealthy / bar food focused, so I didn't bother getting an app. Service was great, although I'm not very needy. Pretty young and friendly crowd. Definitely hit this place up if you're in Charleston.

This place is awesome.
Vibe: Very comfortable, almost cabin-like decor and vibe, but all with an unmistakably Southern aesthetic.
Quality: Pretty damn good.
Service: Sat at the bar a few nights, and seated one night. Had great service both times.
Selection: Rotating tap list is pretty great if you ask me - lots of Allagash and Bells, etc., as expected, but also a great mix of local beers. I tried tons of beers not available in Colorado (but they had those too). Avery Lilikoi to name one.
Food: This place shines here. Get the Pork Slap sandwich or the Spicy Chicken Sandwich and we'll be in agreement.

Had high expectations based on the reviews. Maybe I was grumpy or it was a bad night for them. Unimpressed. Spend your time in Charleston bar hopping!

Love CFB. They always have a terrific, varied selection. Their staff is knowledgeable and loves beer. The table service can sometimes be a bit slow but the bar service is awesome.

An old store front in Downtown Charleston houses Closed for Business. Walking in you are greeted by a long bar to the right and lounge chairs to the left. Dim pendant lights dangle from the ceiling and wood is everywhere you look. The bar is dimly lit all around. A set of washrooms break up the bar area and back seating area. Behind the cozy bar sits what reminds me of a library. There are odds and ends along the shelves, pictures, knick-knacks, old books, and bottles of booze. Simply noticing everything displayed could take you half the night. A couple chalkboards hang between the bric a brac and advertise what's new on the taplist and what's coming next.
The taplist is extensive, 40 or so handles, with beers being broken down by style. Multiple sized pours for each are also available, labeled, and priced. I like that option. Beer was focused largely on the Carolinas but there were a good amount of other states represented as well. The bartenders were quick to chat both nights I stopped in, giving us a rundown of some new taps and of the area. Picked up some good advice. Prices were fair and there were some damn fine choices to be had. I'm pretty sure I drank a couple gallons of Duck Rabbit's Baltic Porter while I wasted away the nights.

Very nice bar with decent food and friendly service. I actually went there multiple times during my short visit and there was quite a bit of change in the tap list (always a good sign). The service fluctuated between superb and good the times I went was definitely dependent on busy-ness.
There was a good selection of locals, rare-ish, and other beers on their many taps. They were awesome about questions, samples, and everything.
Food was delicious as well.
Would go back in a second. Wish it was closer to me.
