A - Gorgeous in color, McLovin has a crystal clear body that allows it's bright ruby amber color to really shine! The large off-white head vanishes to a thin skim of foam with next to no lace due to it's lack of essential foam-stabilizing hop proteins.

S - McLovin is malt focused with a persistent caramellly sweet nose but also brings English toffee, toasted white bread, and just a hint of roasted, dark malt for a round and smooth nose that's right on par with the style!

T - Wonderfully malty, Vintage's McLovin begins sweet with caramel and toffee notes washing over the tongue but finishing with a perfect level of dry toasted malt character of lightly buttered toast and suggestions of cocoa.

M - With a lower level of carbonation, McLovin has a smooth, somewhat slick mouthfeel with a mildly sweet finish and balancing level of dryness from toasted malt. Near perfection!

O - McLovin is one of the greatest Irish-style beers I've ever laid lips on, drinking wonderfully with full and varying malt flavor of caramel, toffee, toast, and light cocoa. It's easy drinkability makes for a great sessionable pint with sweetness meticulously balanced by toasted and roasted malts!

On-tap at Vintage Brewing So. This pours a reddish orange color with a creamy beige head. The aroma is a little burnt and malty. The texture is a little thin and not too complex. Not bad but a little too thin for my liking. I know they claim this is an awarding winning beer but it certainly didn't taste award winning to me.

On tap at Vintage. 16oz served in a shaker pint 6/20/2014.

A- Brown-red body, seems to be somewhere between light and dark. Comes with a one finger off-white head with fair retention, no lacing throughout though.

S- Malty caramel, toffee, bread. Pretty much what you'd expect a scotch ale to smell like. A little bit of earthy hops.

F- More malted barley, caramel, toffee, white bread. It's alright, nothing complex but nothing offensive or off-flavoured.

M- Thinner bodied but smooth and resinous. Lower in carbonation than expected for the style. Sweet, sticky malty finish.

O- Pretty much stays within the confines of the style, which isn't anything complicated to begin with.

Pours clear brown in color with some slight red hues. Head is light tan, frothy and about one finger.

There are some really nice big caramel malt notes in the nose that there is also a really great lightly toasted grainy malt and a very little spicy hop presences.

Taste follows the nose and is malt forward. Lightly sweet caramel malt flavor fade into a bold bread like malt and some really clean yeast that works well to showcase the malt. Very light bitterness and a very small hint of herbal spicy hop.

Mouthfeel is great. Light but not to thin carbonation is moderate and give it a fluffy creamy feel. Very crisp finish.
