Pours slightly hazy orange in color with a bronze hue. Head is foamy and white and has mediocre retention.
Smell has some Belgian yeast notes forward that have some dark cherry fruity esters. Some notes clove cardamom and allspice play interestingly with the Belgian yeast.
Spices come out first with a sweet caramel like malt and a slight pumpkin flavor. Pumpkin persists into the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel is good. Medium thickness and medium carbonation give this an overall medium bodied brew that is slightly crisp in the finish.

Poured can into shaker pint. Beige head goes down to a ring. Body is an opaque murky orange.
Cinnamon and pumpkin nose.
Taste is sweet pumpkin and pumpkin spice (specifically cinnamon and nutmeg, very light clove on the tail. Finishes like a wheat ale.
A little thick and slightly chewy. Soft carb.
Good pumpkin ale.

Translucent baked pumpkin color poured from the can and reappeared as the light cream-colored head (if you could call it that) rapidly dissipated. A scent of sour pumpkin gingerbread greeted me when I opened the can, In the glass the aroma was Amore like spiced apple cider. Fairly smooth in the mouth, the flavor was that of bitter, artificially sweetened, flat, viscous root beer. If I'd been blindfolded, I certainly wouldn't have thought pumpkin. The sourness becomes more prominent as it sits in the glass. I'll drink it, but I won't look for it.

On tap at Vintage Brewing Co., in Madison, Wisconsin.
A- Clear but dark copper-reddish-brown body. Minimal offwhite head. No lacing or retention. [3.5]
S- Cinnamon, nutmeg, caramel, booze, yeast. Smells a bit off to me. [3.25]
F- Cinnamon, caramel, nutmug, booze. Gourds. There is an odd sweetness to it that I can't put my finger on. It's a bit vegetal mixed in with a bit of booze and candied sugar. [3.5]
M- Medium. Low carbonation. A bit sticky and slick. [3.75]
O- Not my thing. Has an odd sweetness to it that I don't find in other pumpkin beers. A bit sloppy in execution, in my opinion. [3.5]
Final score: 3.48
