And here we have a rye malt sahti.

Looks standard hazy amber in color but absolutely no head at all is present.

It presents with a dank earthy aroma with a juniper resin highlights. Other than that, it is a pretty standard brown ale scent.

There is a pleasing gin flavored tart astringency to the front of the sip that melts away, to be replaced with a chorus of walnut and pecan nut brown malt flavor, finish is sweet and lingering. The flavor is a lot better than the merely average nose would have suggested. Perhaps my perception of the nose was hampered by the lack of head?

Carbonation is tingly like a sparkling wine again. I'm noticing a trend where if the carbonation is sparkly the head structure suffers. Medium body heft, but carbonated as if it were lighter. Doesn't quite match up..

This one has a winning flavor and nose, but needs work on the carbonation and head issues.
