Stopped in here to watch some soccer recently.
Atmosphere is very nice. The facade is painted bright red, brightening the disposition immediately. Inside a bunch of different flags hang over a long wooden bar on the right side of the place and tables on the left side. It's definitely more of a pub atmosphere than a restaurant or anything else. TV's are at either end of the bar.
Quality is good. Each beer I saw came in it's own glassware with a nitro-pours nicely executed.
Service is also good. The bartender was more than friendly and we didn't have to wait long to order a beer.
Selection is OK. It's certainly skewed more toward the Irish side of things, with Harp, Guinness, Kilkenny, and Smithwick's all available. Guiness extra stout was available in the bottle which was nice to see. I also noticed a larger American micro also on-tap (Stone if I remember correctly) and some others along with a few Belgians in the cooler.
Value is good. Beers are reasonably priced, par for the course.
Overall this is a nice addition to Decatur Square. Not necessarily better than the Marlay House but certainly cozier, which depending on your perspective can be a good thing. Worth a stop.

Visited a few times since opening.
The floorspace includes a bar, some giant booths and a table area with a giant projector (football games are show frequently).
Beer selection is a bit weak for a 'beer bar' - it's an Irish pub, so you can expect Guinness, Harp and the like, but American micros find a place as well. Sweetwater and Bell's Two-Hearted - it doesn't get much crazier than that, nor do you see new beers too often. Great whisky selection, with some sort of weekly tasting event that I've yet to make.
It would be hard to justify going here over the BSP or Leon's if I was coming from the suburbs, but as a local, I like to stop in here occasionally.

Great atmosphere. Its a pretty small place but that only adds to the atmosphere. Its right near the Brick Store Pub which typically is so packed there is a long wait for a table so this makes an excellent place to go if there is a long wait there. Kind of limited on the beers on tap but great selection of whiskey and great Irish food. The beers on tap are really good and are what I imagine you would find in an authentic Irish pub. The decorations are what I would think you would find in an Irish pub also. Overall a cool place to go if you are in the Decatur area.
