Poured on-tap and served in a shaker pint, the beer is a slightly hazed, copper coloring with a filmy, clingy, off-white head. Nose of rich resin and citrus fruits, balanced and enticing. Flavors are pine resin forward, with a blast of tangerine and grapefruit underneath, and a smooth, sweet caramel backbone. Smooth, robust bodied, with an effervescent citrus and sweet aftertaste. The finish is light, with a subtle resin and citrus linger. Very solid brew.

Hazy, cloudy copper in color with white head that fades yet clings to the glass. Malty, sweet aromas with mango-citrus like hop aroma. Sweet bitter, pine-like taste with decent malt backbone. Medium full mouthfeel with decent carbonation. Not the best IPA I've had, but a quality one by this NC brewery.

A lovely day up in the mountains that let me try a huge sample of some new NC locals. Always thrilled when a day works out like this one did.

Had a chance to try two more offerings from buckshot the other day, this was the first one. Nice building head hear of white foam caps a very golden colored amber body. Was expecting it to be a little darker honestly. Carbonation is just tearing through this one from the first pour. Really forcing this to hold a ton of lacing, but it just seemed to look a bit light to me still. Aroma was a mixed bag of light citrus hops, touches of grain and bready notes and a light grassy nudge that seemed to work well overall. Each sip was crisp, clean, light with a nice touch of bitterness on the back of it. Warming seemed to bring out even more in the way of bready malts and balanced it out nicely, albeit lightly. Easy to sip on, this one went down without an issue.

Overall a nice and light, but solid IPA. Not a big hitter by any means, but it served its purpose.

Sampled on tap at Natty Greene's in Raleigh.

Amber with a hazy finish and a moderate beige head. The aroma is citrusy; not huge but nice. The flavor is citrusy with a firm, lingering bitterness and some toasted malt for good measure. It's got a hint of sweetness to it. The consistency is creamy and the carbonation is low to moderate.

This was a flavorful and drinkable IPA with a nice west coast tilt.
