After reading about it on BA I had to go down to check it out myself.
Although it has a warehouse fell to it, that adds to the charm of the beer section. The area is a small percentage of the warehouse part right at the front of the store. As you walk in you find the cashier at the left and further down on the right that taps. I'm traveling and didn't have a growler so I stuck mostly to the bottled section.
They are divided by countries. The domestics get the most space as well as the Belgium's but England, Germany , Italy and even Japan are well represented. Their bottle selection/variety was incredible including having the same beer in different volumes.
They also have a nice little glassware area where I purchased a Chimay goblet for a reasonable price. I left with a nice German Dunkle a couple of domestic IPS's and Pale Ales and some Japanese beer.
All this for a price that stunned me as I remembered I was in NY.
the staff although busy were very helpful and attentive.

This is a curious place. Total warehouse feel. If you can hunt a staff person down, they range from snappy and unhelpful to warm and inviting.
Don't go for IPAs, unless it's something you know was released recently - the warehouse isn't temperature controlled, and their IPAs don't clear the shelves very quickly.
Some good values can be found, but overall found their prices to be average to pricey.
Worth stopping in if you're in the area, and it makes for a nice beer haul stop along with Whole Foods Bowery and Top Hops, both very close by.
