on tap at The Publican in Chicago. pours a deep chestnut brown with one finger of tight, light tan head, great retention and light lacings.
aroma is of vinous acidity with light berry notes and a touch of sweet cane sugar in the background. very light and alive in the nose.
taste is more of the same with an assertive vinous note and a soft, lasting sour note that gives way to a very mellow tartness. very well composed with an excellent finish of berries and a light tartness after the fact.
mouthfeel is medium bodied with a smooth and lightly sharp character and a soft sour note that remains throughout the experience.
drinkability is great. a very easy-going and mellow flemish red with a drinkable character and an approachable aura. could be more sour but still very well put together. cheers!

Pours a deep, slightly opaque red with an off white head that dissipates fairly quickly. Subtle carbonation. Aromatics are of sour cherry, discernible vinegar and faint wood. Sour cherry and light vinegar are present on the pallet. Slight oakiness and berries present. Complex, not too tart. Excellent starter beer if you're new to sours.
