Don't get many Flanders style beers in my part of the world, so I was happy to find this at Julio's Liquors in Mass last time I was in the state. Pours a light red; head dissipates quickly. Really well-balanced overall; sour nose and taste without being overwhelming or lingering too long.

Is the Flanders Red secretly my favorite beer style? I can't help but smile as I enjoy one of these... is it just the tart punch to the face that makes me look like I am smiling? So many questions... this reminded me a lot of the Duchesse, save the interesting mahogany hue when held to the light, increased 'punch' of the tart cherry flavor, hint of vanilla, and slightly drier finish. I rated Duchesse very high, and this one would be just a bit higher. What it loses a bit in balance, it makes up for with the intensity of flavor. Eye-opening. Again, I scored the components high, but the overall package is so much more complex and gratifying. Perfection in my eyes. Seek this out. ASAP.

Had this one on tap at the finest craft bar in Western MD...Always Ron's in Hagerstown. This is very fine sour red ale. Not too much funky or horseblanket on the nose. Moderate sourness and some slight sweet complexity going in this beer to help balance slightly. Not quite up there with a few other more complex sours but still extremely well made and enjoyable. Definitely fixed my sour beer craving that has been missed for several weeks. Will never turn this one down. Very good.
