On tap poured into a tulip glass at barley's brewhaus in overland park, ks. Halfway on my 20 mile bike ride i needed some refreshment. This is not only one of the best Flanders Red, it is one of the best beers I've had. Tartly sour and refreshing. Perfect for a bike break.

One of my all-time favorite brews (the other two are also sours - surprise, I know).
A: Rouge is not a term lost on this brew. Ruby red, held up to a light source it looks not unlike a Big Red soda, just a little darker.
S: It smells quite like a sour, a hint of vinegar with some light fruitiness on the tail end. A pleasant smell.
T: Slightly sweet with enough carbonation that it does not taste like a soda. I hope you're prepared for a candy-like sour impression on the back end, however. I once compared this to Sour Patch Kids followed by a hint of alcohol in terms of overall flavor, if that's any indicator.
M: Carbonation makes it a pleasant feeling, but even if you savor it enough for this beer to go flat, it still tastes fantastic.
O: This is a great beer. In North Arlington/North Dallas, it averages between $3-5 per bottle, and it is worth every penny. I'd love to find this on tap.
