11.2oz bottle into a tulip
Bottle numbers: 14 13, not sure what that means

A: Pour is a very dark mahogany brown that when held to light turns to a very nice ruby red color. 1.5 fingers width of light tan head quickly dissipates down and leaves effectively zero lacing.

S: Tart dark fruits, lactic acidity, oak, sweet dark fruits like cherry, dates, and plum. A hint of cocoa. Awesome.

T: A big puckering sourness is the first thing that hits the palate. Sour fruits like cherry, grape, and apple. There is a big degree of sweet fruit flavors as well. I also get oak and vanilla notes from the barrel. Really excellent.

M/D: Medium body, but feels lighter because of the heavy carbonation. The carbonation and puckering sourness give it a biting quality. Drinkability is very good.

O: Overall, I loved this one. Great sour qualities, but a sweetness to balance it out nicely. Awesome beer. A must try.

330ml bottle
BBE: 06-02-15

A: Pours a clear red body with a thin line of bubbly head. Retention and lacing are poor and minimal.

S: Aroma mixed of cherries, vinegar and other sweet fruits. Vinegar smell is quite strong here.

T: Flavours are forward with sour cherries, very sweet then finishes off with a bitter vinegar taste. The sourness is definitely there with a tad to much vinegar taste.

M: Light bodied with medium-high carbonation. Water like texture with no presence of alcohol. The aftertaste is very sour and vinegary, but does not linger to long.

D: Interesting brew, one of few flemish styles I've had. The cherry sourness is nice, but the vinegar is to strong here.

11.2oz bottle into a goblet

pours a dark red/brown with a slight white head. big sour cherry aroma on the nose, nice! as you take a sip there is a good initial tartness, but not too sour. very good cherry flavor on this one. really digging this. wow, this might be my favorite flemish red i've ever had. medium bodied with medium carbonation, superb drinkability.

Poured from a 33 cl bottle into a teku.

A: Medium dark brown. Pours about a 1 finger, bubbly, white head. Quickly settles leaving a smattering of bubbles and a nice beer ring. Slight spotty lacing mostly retreats into the body quickly.

S: A bit of a woody fermented raspberry.

T: Tastes like it smells. Sour fermented raspberry... that's about it.

M: Syrupy, sour, bitter, and pungent. Mouth-puckering dry finish.

D: Sip and enjoy.

Atmosphere is excellent. Nice body, decent head, serviceable lacing. Nose is fruity and powerful with a bit of a woody or earthy tone. Mouth puckering sour fermented raspberry. Overall, this is a really good quaff.
