The brew is clear amber, has a big tan head that settles quickly and a bit unevenly, good lacing and some curtains.

Smelling of hay, bitter oranges and pears.

Slightly sweet brown bread start, fruity aromas, canned peaches, some clean bitter notes.

Medium carbonation, small bubbles, smooth and refreshing, a slightly dry finish.

An unexpected easy-going and fruity Vienna lager, with just enough hops to make it sessionable. This year (2011) at 5.2 %.

The weak smell is sweet with some toffee/caramel, nuts and a metallic bitterness. Almost no visible bubbles.

The colour is deep brown-red (40 EBC). The head is airy, firm, and pale brown. Some lacing occurs.

The taste is malty with some caramelized notes and a strong sweetness. Some neutral bitter flavours with a touch of metal. The aftertaste is quite mild with some dusty-malty flavours, a prominent sweetness and a mild bitterness.

The carbonation is quite strong. Lots of small bubbles. The liquid is mid-smooth.

An OK Vienna lager, which is a positive surprise as my prejuduces about Kopparbergs beers told me "This is going to be rubbish".

A: This Swedish x-mas beer pours glowing brown/redish with a rich creamy beige head that sure takes it time to dissipate, leaving lots of lace. It looks really tasty!

S: The smell is a bit light but nice. Light roasted malt with some sweetness. There is also some floral as well as bitter hops togheter with dried dark fruits.

T: At first a bit chemical, but then it's all swedish crispbread (hard ryebread). A malty beer that's light roasted and sweet. A bit rough/unbalanced.

M: The aftertaste is a bit short for my taste, but there is nice sweetness togheter with dry bitterness - well balanced. The body is medium and the carbonation is all small bubbles, and lots of 'em. The mouthfeel is surprisingly creamy.

D: Far from the best beer to go with the swedish christmas-food, but far from the worst. A standard x-mas beer. But the price is low so this is the "most bang for your buck" when it comes to Swedish Christmasbeer.
