Travelling thru Hartford on business and this seemed the place to go. Excellent selection, but I suggest you ask questions because the guys will help you find what you want. Happy to come away with Singlecut, Counter Weight and Industrial Arts beers from my visit.

Great staff willing to help and give suggestions. Has turned into my go to spot. Nice sour selection. Gets as good a distribution as anyone in Hartford County. Yes small space and can be a little disorganized but you need to browse a little.

Found this spot by accident. Excellent spot for craft beer, with knowledgeable workers. Small and cozy.

Plenty of selection from all over, including a number of aged Belgians. Large Beer Cave: a walk-in cooler with plenty of chilled 12-packs and 6-packs of craft beer.

Definitely recommend hitting up this spot if you're in the Hartford area and looking for a place to buy some good beer.

Small place, kind of disorganized. Helpful friendly owner. Not a huge selection.

Down the road from the Half Door pub, Harvest Wine is a small and crowded booze store.

There are cases of beer and wine and bottles everywhere! Not very organized… I saw a bunch of dusty bombers, but the cooler with single bottles as you enter to your left across from the register is neat. Some good options there (I went for an Evil Twin barleywine).

Weyerbacher, Victory, Hebrew, Allagash, Southern Tier and Cambridge Brewing were among the brands I saw, but nothing rare or exceptional. They do have a shelf behind the register with awe-inspiring stuff like Utopias, but that is mostly for drooling purposes. Nice, super helpful guys. Give it a try, they deserve some business.

I moved to the Hartford area in March and found this small little store a month later. Is definitely my favorite store in CT I like the selection that they have in stock even though there were a quite few that were missing but I was able to find at other stores in the New Haven area. But overall is a great store staff is friendly and very knowledgeable.

I decided to check out the two top-rated stores on a trip to Hartford. This was one of them. The selection is quite good, if a bit uneven. Some rare sightings here, but also big gaps in coverage (available at other CT stores, so it's not a question of distribution). Prices very uneven. Some appear to be quite good or comparable to the better stores in the area. Others are 20-25% higher for no apparent reason. The guy behind the counter claimed to have had some rarities in ample supply when they came out, unlike other locals who barely got 1 case or less. Of course, that does not mean that they lasted long, but this still would be the place to look for rare releases or to sign up in advance.

The store is a bit cramped with beer spread out over four different areas, including a walk-in cooler. Wine is distributed in a completely unpredictable manner, but feels a bit like a cellar, which saves it from a downgrade. The guy behind the counter looks like Todd and knows his beer. And the place is known locally for sure -- the few customers that I encountered in the store came for the real stuff, not BMC. Definitely seems to be a go-to local spot, but if you're driving, there may be a couple of other stores to check out.

This is the place to go if you're in the Hartford/West Hartford area. These guys know their stuff and can get you something if not available on site. I come here at least 2 - 3 times a week. I love this place. Pay them a visit, you won't be dissapointed.

The guys who work here are great, they're super knowledgeable and friendly and are always willing to chat. They have a great selection of beers and pretty good prices. They are always on top of the newest releases and willingly accommodate special orders.

Nice neighborhood shop tucked away in the middle of West Hartford off Farmington ave. Good feel and vibe. Some nice wines but seems to be a more beer centric shop. Kind of unorganized with beer being all over the place with no real meaningful set up. Not much product has pricing on it which makes it annoying to ask each time what a particular beer costs. The guy at the counter seemed pretty nice and helpful. In the back is a walk-in cooler with cold 6 packs and cases. A recommended spot to check out with a good selection.

I frequent this place whenever i'm in or around Hartford. The staff really makes this place worth it -- very eccentric and passionate about beer, totally up to give you recommendations and warnings, knowledgeable and friendly. The beer selection is top-notch stuff, but a bit limited, possibly due to the size of the store. Stuff is also very much hidden sometimes behind other bottles/labels (but for me, that makes it kind of like a treasure hunt!) I found a 2007 Avery Mephistopheles' Stout sitting on the shelf here a month ago; I bought a Lava Stout today and a Procrastinator Ale, so they definitely have rarities and quality brews. Overall, I highly recommend this shop if you are in the Hartford area! You will NOT be disappointed!

Harvest is a boutique style beer and wine store near the Hartford/west Hartford line. It's small but selection-wise really can't be beat in the area.

The beer cave is filled to the brim with quality 6 packs from all the major players and locals. They also have a nice selection of bombers, and a couple areas dedicated to imports you won't find in other CT package stores.

The service is very personal and helpful. they'll give you an honest opinion of what customers have liked, not liked.

One minor complaint is that prices aren't marked for everything and I'm a cost conscious beer shopper. I think they have a price list, but I find myself asking once per visit what something costs.

Otherwise, harvest is worth a trip.

This place is a gem. Reviews about Ian, the owner, are in no way exaggerating. The vibe is very laid back. Good music abounds you as you first walk in. The selection is as great as it gets in CT. Great selection of east coast and west coast varieties. Nice rarities and beers for special occasions. Anything you see on the shelves is for purchase. The prices are very reasonable. You will not be gauged. It isn't exactly organized but that's ok because it gets you to walk around, explore, and hang out. A place for either your favorite session beer or your unique treasure. I highly, highly recommend this place. But only those that...RESPECT BEER.

Stopped by on a 2 day trip just to try and grab some things I can't get around me on Long Island. The man working there knew a good amount about beer, and seemed very nice. When you first walk in, there are a few fridges that have cold single beers. Towards the back they have all kinds of craft brews and a refrigerated room to keep a lot of craft beers and regs (bud, coors, etc) cold. Also behind the counter there are some rare treats if you keep an eye out. It was a little disorganized, you really have to look through everything, even the wine section to find the beers you want. For example I found some Stillwaters in 3 different places.

All in all a good selection but they really need to work on their organization.

I stopped in at Harvest tonight for my first time to check out a beer tasting even that was going on. The staff was very knowledgeable about beer and very friendly. The store is small in square footage but full of great craft beers. In the front they have a cooler full of singles. There are racks and shelves full of single bottles dispersed throughout the store and in the back they have a cooler called a "beer cave" that is full of 6 packs and 12 packs. They have a great selection of 6 packs including Anchor Steam, various local breweries and some imports as well. The friendly staff even gave me a few beer chalices for free when I inquired about glassware. I highly recommend this store to anyone in the Hartford area looking for great service and great selection.
