interesting series of italian beers here, maybe not the freshest anymore, but still worth drinking for their uniqueness i think. this amber version is well carbonated and full bodied with an interesting eucalyptus sort of sinus opening herbal aromatic. yeast and heady on the pour, rust colored, but it loses its fluff quickly. the taste isn't as alluring as the smell, which is full of floral and cool yeast characteristics different from any amber ale I've had. almost burnt red malt in the taste, not bitter or sweet, but sort of in the middle, charred a little, ashy, but still floral and summery. the ale yeast makes this, the malt is odd, stale, and needs some refinement. great carbonation makes this better than it really is, and that smell is just so different and delicious. funny slightly metallic finish doesn't add anything. still excited for the others in the series even though i preferred the blonde to the amber here.

Italy's attempt to get in the craft beer market, it is a decent beer though. It pours an light orange color, with a light aroma of malt, with a compact foamy heady, and average carbonation. It has a sweet and mild hoppy taste, with hints of hops and wheat. It does have a minor edge, but still goes down smooth, and has a sweet and herby after taste. Comes in a bottle that is shaped like a whine bottle...

Pours a finger and half of head on a hazy dark straw body.
The aroma is dry grains and dark fruits.
The taste is mildly sweet, then sweeter, but good balance. Lots of fruits.
The texture is crisp and fizzy.

A- Pours a luminescent orange liquid with numerous strains of carbonation rising to the top. The head is thin but creamy and has excellent retention.

S- Plums, grapes, apples, pears, bubble gum, and caramel. Unique, fruity, and intriguing.

T- Fruits and bubble gum make for a very interesting combination. Full-flavored and well rounded.

M- A smooth and full body gives way to a light and spicy finish from the abundant carbonation.

O- A very tasty take on the style. The alcohol is well hidden and it drinks very nicely.

A - Pours a clear amber color with a very delicate white foamy head and moderate carbonation. Poured into Collesi Imper Ale stemware, pretty cool to match the beer and the glass.

S - Aroma is a little earthy with toasted caramel malt and some very light, almost completely hidden white fruit aroma, overall light and delicately complex. This isn't the typical amber aroma that one would expect which makes it interesting.

T - Toasted malt is forward with some light fruit in the middle with a light bitterness at the end. On the palette, everything blends with some complexity but is very, without better words to describe it, "delicate".

M - Full body on the palette, a little thick, and viscously sticky.

O - Interesting, glad I had the opportunity to try this, but not my cup of tea. I would like to know how long this one has been sitting on the shelf. Delicate and malt forward.
