Purchased this on a whim in the liquor store in Greenfield. Poured the 22 oz bomber into a teku glass. Typically black-brown, with a small milk chocolate-colored head that required an aggressive pour to get. Aromas are nice - some raisin/date with a bit of stale coffee and slight vanilla. Taste is very good, although a little thin, featuring deep, dark malts, chocolate, coffee, dried fruit and vanilla, with just a bit of balancing bitterness. Mouth is great, fairly dry, with low carbonation. Overall, a solid and tasty coffee stout.

Had this on tap at the new Leftys taproom. The beer had a black appearance with a thin, dark brown head. The aromas had a powerful and sharp black coffee aroma which I personally loved. The taste was a mixture of a milky cream with a very bitter black coffee, possibly espresso, flavor. The body of this beer was pretty creamy with its texture. Overall, this was a great coffee stout.

Poured a dark chocolate-brown color with a 2F head in a Stone RIS glass.
Good looking beer.
Aroma: intense dark roasted coffee; light vanilla and chocolate which faded
while the coffee remained strong.
MF: smooth, malty, creamy. I like this in the style.
The taste follows the aroma: dark roasted coffee- very complex, with lingering coffee.
Great beer. I'd like to see more of their beers in my area. Finally, Lefty's is distributing in my area. The Beans Brew was the only Lefty's beer available at the store. I've tasted a number of their beers in Western, MA. The English Style IPA was excellent, but it's now retired. Great collab with Pierce Bros coffee for a deep roasted coffee IS.

Very dark brown with no head.
has a fairly strong alcohol smell with dark bread, molasses, and slight coffee. I expected there to be a stronger coffee smell.
Tastes of coffee, chocolate, and roasted malts. No flavor is really stronger than any other. The mouthfeel is very smooth.
Based on other coffee stouts I've had I expected this to be a lot heavier on the coffee flavor, but it is well balanced and makes for a nice stout. They could have sold this just as a regular imperial stout and I might not have noticed.

Nice but not outstanding. I would buy it again as just a nice beer to share with someone who has never had it before.
