Visited this fine establishment with my good buddy Brian...who lives in the building adjacent to it.

A: The decor is very contemporary with ample amounts of space and comfort for each individual who decides to stumble into this place that's located just around the corner from the Staples Center. More known for their wine, they offer a large variety of 20-30 dollar glasses along with a decent collection of craft beer and delicious food. The bartenders really make you feel welcome and make suggestions, depending on your palate, for both wine and beer. Almost always, there is a good amount of communication/conversation between the server and you...which again, makes the experience that much better.

Q: Most of the time I've ordered beer, and for the most part...they seem to clean their lines and move through kegs in timely fashion. Therefore, providing the consumer (me) with some of the freshest Alesmith IPA I've ever had. As for the food...it's something I would come to expect from 4 or 5 star restaurant.

S: Again, very knowledgeable and friendly. Even the bartender, who at first impression seem to be only into wine, had homebrewed before! Very well rounded staff to say the least.

S: The wine lineup is awesome...enough said there. As for the beer, they provide 6 taps and 8-10 bottled beers... all which are from some sort of California craft brewery. The only knock I have is their non-rotating draft list; I hope as time goes on they expand the number of taps or bring in some new brews from time to time.

F: Pretty darn good and fancy! One those places where the chef doesn't allow you substitute or put any ketchup on anything...and to be honest, you don't need too. It's that good!

Overall: Probably not the first place that comes to mind when I think of great beer bars in LA, but the friendly service and an immaculate wine selection make easy to come back time and time again.
