What a great place.
Atmosphere was busy but not crowded on the Tuesday and Wednesday nights we went. Place is heavy on wood with bottles of what seems to be every beer they've ever bottled lining the walls and fridge. There were tables outside on the sidewalk as well. You can see the caged in upstairs distillery and can watch them work. Music was easy 60s/70s rock.
Mike the bartender is one of my new favorite people. Always moving, always working, but with a smile and time to talk over your selections. Rock on Mike!
All the beers I had were top notch and presented well. We had a brewers board and a Ruben, both were excellent.
Mike talked the Mrs. into a Chocolate Stout/Lindemans (on tap) Framboise mix that she declared the Best. Beer. Ever!
Prices were very fair. If you hit Portland, this is your base o'operations.

Dropped by on a visit to Portland and grabbed a quick bite but ended up staying longer and sampling several beers. The bartender was beyond friendly and mixed some coffee into a hazelnut beer to convince my wife to try which she did and enjoyed. Just stay away from that crazy bacon maple donut beer. Just walk over to voodoo donuts and get the real deal..
