Told my roommate to pick up a growler of something Belgian from Papago for me. He came back with this...and I am intrigued.

Looks like apple juice, golden-orange and perfectly clear. Lots of champagne bubbles rise to a white head that quickly turns to film, but no lacing.

Smells of sweet bready malt, with fruit esters reminiscent of green grapes, pears and strawberries, with a slight sourness. A little subdued, but nice.

In the taste, the sourness of green apples and sweetness of pears, honey and caramel malts dance in perfect harmony. Yeasty and pretty sweet, but with a dry finish.

Mouthfeel is just what I'd expect for the style. Medium carbonation, silky, light.

I was pleasantly surprised with this one. There's nothing really spectacular about it, but it's a very solid, balanced, and drinkable pale ale. Another nice one from Papago.

Enjoyed at the Papago bar. An unusual one.Great pear aroma, also sweet honey. The look is of a light boy but also cloudy. The mouthfee is fairly watery, and cask-like,even the carbonation is fortunately understated, but the pear and some spice taste is there.
