Pours a clear amber in the tall glass. Quite decent head and the foam lasts well. Spritzy carbonation but mostly the mouthfeel is quite acidic. A whiff of pineapple in the aroma. Fragrant with pineapple and orange peel.
Hot with alcohol that seems to keep the maltiness hidden, even though it's quite a substantial body. A sweetness deep down. Lots of grapefruit peel and some. Bitterness is over the top but not unbearable. Aftertaste is an endless bitterness mollified by the fruity notes. A sharp, winey consistency.
Almost drinkable but pretty much the typical DIPA overkill. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Bottlecraft in Little Italy.
