On tap at Noble Ale Works in Anaheim, CA.
Pours a clear dark crimson-brown with a foamy tan head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of toasted malt, caramel, and nut aromas. Taste is much the same with toast, caramel, and nut flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of toast bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with a nice mix of toast, caramel, and nut all around.
Serving type: on tap.

I had this beer on-tap at the brewery in a goblet.
Appearance: dark brown with a finger of ivory foam atop. Very nice.
Smell: rather sweet with a good caramel character and a fair dose of roastiness. Not bad!
Taste: lightly roasty right up front with a sweet lagery yeastiness below. Pretty standard for the style, but well-enough done.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and creaminess. I like it.
Overall: a decent schwarzbier. Definitely a quaffable brew.
