Got on a trade during CANBIF. Served at 4deg C in a draught glass

A- Opens well and pours a 1/2" high white head that lasts for a minute before film out. Medium to light gold color and unfiltered

S- Blueberry, as expected! Light hop scent as well

T- Blueberry, as expected. Rather light blueberry flavor and does not overpower the malt and mild hop flavor

M- Dry and crisp

O- Pretty good. Have had better blueberry beer but still a nice brew overall. Would buy it if I saw it on tap

Food Pairing

This nice little brew went well with...... Shish kabobs! Chicken, orange bell pepper, onion and mushrooms on the BBQ

Enjoy

Hazy apricot orange. Big soapy head that settles to a film. Lots of fine lace. Looks good. Gently fruity nose, subtle, actually sorta works because its not perfumy or sweet. Tastes of yeast, alcohol, some fruit. Dry, somewhat medicinal mouthfeel.

Reminds me of Unibroue's Ephemere line (which I'm not a real fan of). Made well enough, but not to my taste.

On tap at The Gahan House as part of the sampler.
Pours a murky light golden color with a hint of blue in it and a smallish head that dissipates almost instantly.
Aromas of licorice, blueberry and spice with a slight menthol or medicinal bite to it.
The flavor contains all the flaws from the aroma.
Not very good, I couldn't finish my sample.

This beer poured a very cloudy amber with a head that lasted for a about 20 seconds. The smell is all blueberries, the fresh kind. I'm impressed by the lack of fake chemical smell to it. The taste starts very bready with a good kick of blueberries, very much like a blueberry muffin. That's followed by a little sour and a touch of lingering hops. The mouthfeel is slightly thick with light carbonation. Overall, a very interesting beer that is worth grabbing if you can find it.
