On tap at 16 tons the other day.
The beer pours an amber orange color with good head retention and lacing. On the nose... ah Gilgamesh, there's just no one else quite like you. The nose is exotic, as I pick up considerable dry citrus, skunky weed and pine, but then also some cotton candy and candy corn as well. Now how in the hell did you guys do that?!?!? The nose is so skunky and piney, I wasn't sure how much I would like it on the palate, but it turned out to be quite well indeed. This beer is extremely hoppy and dank on the palate as well, but there's enough underlying malt to balance the bitterness, and so drinking down an 8 ounce pour turned out to be no chore at all. Mouthfeel is medium bodied to full, with a long, bitter, dank and pine filled finish. Alcohol is very well integrated into the flavor profile, as I don't get even a hint of heat from the alcohol.
Always pushing the envelope... that seems to summarize the Gilgamesh philosophy in a nutshell. That and making high quality beer. Excellent stuff...
