Poured from a bottle into a shaker pint, the beer is a vibrant, dark, amber-highlighted brown coloring with a low profile, dense, off-white head. Aromas of bittersweet chocolate, subtle cream highlights, toasted notes, and a very subtle coconut richness. Smells great. Flavors have a bit more of the coconut, as well as a bit less of the chocolate. Creamy notes help to balance everything out, as well as mute some of the more bitter characteristics. Cocoa and coffee forward, with a cream blend, and the coconut sweet and rich builds quite a bit towards the end of the palate. Smooth, but light bodied, leading into a somewhat muddled aftertaste that just misses the flavor of a Mounds bar. Tangy sweet and slightly bitter linger into the light, slightly frothy, slightly cloying finish.

"A brown porter that's a great beer on its own, is even better with a subtle toasted coconut character that compliments the dark grains wonderfully. A complex and exotic brew that's an easy drinking, refreshing tropical libation." Brewed in the style of an American Porter. Available year round in 12 oz. 6 packs.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle to a pint glass. Served above 50 degrees Fahrenheit.

TCP pours a frothy foam tan-white head over a cherry cola brown body with no visible carbonation. Retention is average and lacing is light and spotty. The aroma consists of moderate toasty brown malt, a pinch of roast, a touch of coconut cream for sweetness. The flavor is similar although much lighter in body than perceived, with a light toasted grain malt body, lesser coconut., body and sweetness. Texture is slick, silky and modestly thin, and carbonation lends a modest frothiness for a soft crisp mouthfeel. Body is shy of medium for the style, medium+ overall. Balance is slightly acidic and grainy over sweet. Alcohol presence is light and off characters are minimal. This is my first experience from this brewery and although TCP is fairly drinkable, there isn't enough substance packed into this beer to make a sufficient body to rest on. The coconut angle doesn't come through much beyond the aroma. I'm inclined to recommend other Florida-brewed options as well as more notable American Porters.

Pours a light brown color with ivory head. Pretty much cereal grains on the nose; same for the palate. I picked up no coconut or toasted coconut.

Single finger head on a deep amber brown body with good lacing. Aroma includes toasted malts, breads, mild earthy hops and brown sugar. Flavors are mild and include minimal vanilla notes, some toasted coconut, toasted and roasted malts. Medium creamy body and moderate carbonation. Very easy to drink and fairly refreshing for the style. A little simple and it leaves you wanting more coconut flavoring.
