473ml can poured into tulip 25/9/15
A clear golden yellow with just a few big slow bubbles that manage a finger of foam that sits around for a couple sips leaving a pair of partial rings
S honey and sweet malts, faint dried grass, some green apple that's caramel covered, some creamed corn
T not far from the smell, sweet, odd fruity notes, some sourdough, kinda strange really but nothing offensive
M thin and a little foamy, maybe a little cardboard on the finish
O pretty meh but nothing really "off"just kinda lame
pretty meh but I'd still take it over most macros out there but no real need to pull the trigger on this one if your curious

473ml can, part of the mixed 4-packs they come in around here in Alberta. This is apparently a road clearing, open pit mining sort of person's elixir!
This beer pours a clear, bright medium golden yellow colour, with three fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and mostly fizzy bone-white head, which leaves a few instances of remote island chain lace around the glass as it quickly evaporates.
It smells of grainy, slightly crackery pale malt, a bit of cereal-quality corn, mushy, overripe green grapes, a twinge of stale butter, and incredibly shy earthy, leafy hops. The taste is gritty, grainy pale malt, more corn as we take it in the morning at breakfast time (I know, that may not be as specific as I intended), weak musty apple cider, and more very tame and innocuous weedy, earthy hop, er, 'bitters'.
The carbonation is rather low and hard to pin down at any point, with barely a frothy tic to be had, the body on the far lee side of any sort of middleweight, and plain as the day is long in its generic smoothness. It finishes well off-dry, the varied and mutt-like malt keeping the sweetness quotient up, with any other balancing contenders having long since packed up and scurried home.
What we have here is an ode to the everyman lagers that were swilled by the hard workin' folk alluded to on the label, and when old-school hops were not in great supply, I suspect that the brew was pretty much just as this is - too sweet, kind of pandering, and not really worthy of any sort of repeat engagement.

pours a light grainy yellow, flat golden colour. inch of head gives way after a minute.
light grassy aromas, wet hay and lots of grainy malts.
taste is follows wet hay with crisp malts. Beer is very light and crystal clear. its all goes away quickly with little on the finish.
Overall flavours are not bad with the malts there but everything is somewhat watered down. easy drinking but not full of taste.

WHERE ARE THE BUBBLES?? lol
Got this beer a couple times in tall cans and there was no head on any of them. That said it is a decent lager. A bit watery compared to other micros that ive had but has an OK taste with malts coming through.

Purchased at the LCBO for just under $3.00 for a 473ml can. Served at 4deg C in a draught glass.
A- Opens well and pours a small head that is gone in 30sec. Clear light gold color
S- Not a lot here at all. Bit of malt
T- Pretty pedestrian North American beer. Nothing special. Simple lager
M- Not a lot here at all. Bud clone
O- Nothing special. Not worth repeating. Will not buy again
Food Pairing
This ok Bud clone goes well with.... Anything a Bud would go with.
Enjoy
