Wines and more has put a stranglehold on beer and wine sales in RI. No more traveling to nikki's for me... they just expanded their beer selection by about 20% (added another aisle) therefore claiming the title of best selection in ri. Sorry haxtons! Seriously though, the place is huge and growing every day. Also they have beer seminars biweekly on either a featured brewery or a country (see the billboard as you walk in.) I wouldnt be suprised if they renamed this place "beer, and some wine." Hint* they have a walk in beer cave with a rack of bombers.

This place had a really good selection. It's just down the road from my new apartment in Cranston, but the prices are a bit on the high side.

Big nearby shop with a very extensive craft beer selection. As others have mentioned, their prices are a bit higher than similar, and even smaller stores in the surrounding area. All the craft beer seems to be about $1-$2 higher than the competition. May be the reason that there's a lot of older beer, and a slow-ish rotation of year round offerings. They do, however, put their leftover seasonals on sale for very reasonable prices.

There is a great newer beer cave in the craft section that is not being utilized to it's potential. Could be an incredible asset to the store, but seems to be used to store a small lackluster selection of craft can cases and growlers. I'd love to see some shelving around the interior walls for cold bottle storage as well. It's very inviting, being that it's entirely separate from their bulk storage, but doesn't really have much going on as far as a selection.

Very good selection here, Wines & More is always well stocked with the craft standbys and some limited releases. Had many bottles of the Espresso RIS by Stone on one visit months after its release.

However their higher prices than many smaller bottle shops in the area means a lot of their stock doesn't move. I very rarely find beers that I wish to purchase fresh less than 3 months from bottled date or more than 2 months from the best by date.

They do care about the craft and host many free brewery tastings (best I have been to was North Coast IMO). The canned craft selection is one of the best in the state and their 6 rows of craft beers are outstanding for RI. All that keeps me from going here more often are the freshness & pricing issues.

Just as previous posters said, 6 aisles of beer! Staff was knowledgable and helpful. Checkout was a little long. Only 2 registers open, but what a selection of craft brews! Was impressed with the local brew selection as I'm a home town kinda guy. Can't wait to visit again.

Warehouse like in terms of layout and "ambiance". Beer staff was not knowledgeable at all and were actually quite rude given that the store was not very busy. Started out great with a cooking demo, tasting of a couple pumpkin brews, but after that a disappointment. Granted a big selection, but staff was not very helpful, almost downright rude and that is a huge detraction for me. Might stop in if in the neighborhood, but not a place I would go out of my way to visit (and it is out of my way). I prefer my beermonger to be at least friendly, even if they lack knowledge.

Anyway...selection was large and nicely organized by style and brewery within a style. Kind of hard to see, maybe lighting needs some improvement. Made pickin' a little tough but not terrible. Store was clean, but something of a BJ's warehouse style at least in the beer section. Prices were reasonable except for the RI sales tax - ouch.

I was recently told to check this place out and somewhat reluctantly did so seeing as I had never heard of it and could not have been more surprised. First off the place is huge, second to only haxtons in the state in size, but the beer selection was far better. Im fairly certain they have pretty much everything available in the state. I counted 4 full isles of craft brew and allot of it was also available cold. I definite new beer destination for me and I would recommend any beer geek in the are to check it out.

Right near Whole Foods in Cranston, this place has one of the most complete beer selections in RI I've seen. I mean four isles of craft beer only, wow. They also do mix-a-sixers which is great for such a large selection. A very extensive selection of all liquors, I've been describing the store to friends as the be$t buy of booze. Mostly because of the size, but also the geek squad-esk kiosk in the middle of the store. Definately a store to check out, weather it be for harder to find 6er's or a good deal on a craft 24 pack. Cheers!

This place is HUGE. If you are looking for a specific type of wine, spirit, or local craft beer, there's a good chance you'll find it at Wines & More. I was especially impressed by the selection of local craft offerings - Sebago, New England Brewing Co., Cisco Brewing, Cape Ann Brewing, etc. A very nice Belgian selection as well as full lines from Brooklyn, Sierra Nevada, Heavy Seas, Dogfish Head, etc. If it's distributed in RI, they had it on the shelf...10% on Mix-A-Six. I browsed Wines & More for almost an hour.

Wines and More is located on Sockanosset Crossroad in Cranston between Pontiac Ave. and Reservoir Ave, adjacent to Whole Foods Market. The store itself is massive, and as the name suggests, is a major purveyor of wines. That being said, the craft beer section is pretty impressive in and of itself. It starts about halfway back and to the left, consisting of several tall cooler doors (4-6) with singles and bombers on display - something that tends to be lacking at many bottleshops due to the space premium. Immediately beyond the coolers, is the craft beer section which consists of 3-4 aisles of singles, 6-packs and bombers with 12-packs on the floor in the adjacent spaces. American craft dominates, with offerings from Stone, Southern Tier, Dogfishead, Brooklyn, Ommegang, Ithaca, Weyerbacher, etc., etc., etc. There are just too many brewers to list, but pretty much any American craft you can obtain in RI is available at this store. Wines & More also offers a very nice selection of Germans, and has another row of shelves dedicated to imports from the UK and Belgium. I'm a browser, and every time I'm in, the manager has made and effort to see if I needed any help or had any questions. They also offer a mix-a-six option with a 10% discount on mixed craft sixers, and there is a craft beer card program that offers an additional discount opportunity upon purchasing 12 mixed sixers. Prices are slightly higher than I am accustomed to, maybe by a dollar or so on bombers, but things tend to equalize a bit with the mix-a-six. Also, there are often craft beer sales, so you can usually pick up a six or a 12 of something decent at a fair price. There are some Belgian offerings, but more or less your run of the mill - Chimay, Dupont, Rochefort, Achel, etc. For the sheer selection of American Craft in the area, this is a must stop. If you are looking for imports - there are better places.
