Walked here from Fenway after the last game of the regular season. We had time to kill, and it was a beautiful day, so the walk was nice. Train is right outside, so that would be easy.
Atmosphere was very inviting. Dark wood and comfortable. Relaxed. Casual.
At the bar, the bartender was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Once caveat: one wait staff who came by near the end of our meal said "I don't know too much about beer." Very strange considering where she was working. Anyway, igoring that....
Selection was impressive. About 30 beers on tap [half Belgians] with another 100+ in bottles. Can't ask for much more than that.
My friends eventually showed up so we sat at a table for dinner. The mussels & fries can be prepared in several ways and the two we had were both excellent. Po boy was decent and the Mac & Cheese was amazing. Overall, the food was a great fit with the beer and very well made.
If I were going back to Boston I would defnitely make this a must see destination.
Notes: no reservations and no dessert [there is a good ice cream shop across the street].
