Brand new place, funky, multiple room layout, including a middle "room" that's exposed to the elements (its outdoors actually). This place was full of 20-30 somethings, seemed to be on the "meat market" side of things, but had a cool, friendly vibe. Respectable 20 or so tap set up with familiar favorites from Brooklyn, Sixpoint, DFH and the usual bunch. Dont expect any rarities, but do know that you will be able to get a respectable pint. Mexican little joint across the street is serving up some mighty tasty fish tacos and such. Not really a place I'd go back to for the beer (the Gate is a short walk). But worth checking out for a change, with some buddies and/or to mingle with some friendly locals

Always worth a stop when in this part of Brooklyn although I never want to stay here too long. Less intimate and more noisy and crowded than most of my preferred beer bars and getting a seat at the bar is always a challenge.

Still, you'll want to slide in here to grab a beer or two based on the selection, which is always killer. If you don't find a major want or rarity or hard-to-get beer on tap here than you're simply not looking.

While in Brooklyn for whatever reason, I decided to stop in MD as they were having an anniversary celebration with a notably great taplist. It seems like a cool hangout, with a small bar, and some outer chamber seating. Pleasantly grungy. The bartenders were friendly. I can't speak for the taplist on a "normal" day, but the anniversary brought out names such as KBS, Zhukov, and Xocoveza Charred (on nitro no less), to name a few, with some bottle pours from Cantillon and the like. So, yeah, neat.

If I lived in Brooklyn, I'm sure I'd be here a lot, and if/ when I go back to Brooklyn, I'll be stopping in again.

I really like this place! It has all the criteria necessary for a beer bar to be great. First, the atmosphere: Mission Dolores is the least pretentious place in Brooklyn. There are some games in the courtyard, through which you pass upon entry. The bar area is homey; there are a few tables and a small bar that seems to have enough room for everyone. The patrons are eclectic: beer lovers, local bar flys and couples with kids - who were well mannered (unlike booger ranchers in other area venues.) It must be the atmosphere.
The beer selection was superb, offering a wide variety of local crafts. The bartender was attentive, professional and knew her craft. Plenty of water with nary an empty glass. While the only food offered were potato chips, this was not an issue, since you can get food anywhere on Fourth Avenue.

Definitely worth a stop. To quote Jerry Seinfield: 'DELORES!"

Great selection and service. Bartenders are also up to speed on most everything they have and willing to offer good suggestions. Previous review over the years seem to note lack of Brookyn beers - well mainly because there were very few breweries in Brooklyn 5+ years ago.. now that has changed and the menu reflects it.

They always have a great selection, really nice vibe, bartenders are always great. Their tap takeover/events are always fantastic, a must visit and you'll see why!

Interesting setup, I walked into the bar after walking through what seemed like a persons apartment yard or something. Nice divey feel with top quality beers.

Mission Dolores was the last stop on my little tour of Park Slope beer bars. It's a cool space on 4th Avenue, sort of like an old garage... you enter through a hallway with tables, then there is a patio and finally the bar. Lots of different areas for seating and chilling. They accept dogs here, be warned!

The Mission was chill on a Saturday evening at around 8pm, and I enjoyed my time there. I love going to a bar that is not impossibly crowded like I'm used to in Manhattan.

On tap: Empire Cream, Port City Wit, Sierra Keller, Other Half, Dogfish Positive, Thornbridge Jaipur cask, Lagunitas Brown Shugga, Founders Pale... nothing crazy, but alright. I went for spirits (bourbon!)

Beers are six dollars except for rarities, but their twenty-dollar minimum on credit cards blows. They have no food except for potato chips.
