From 02/11/15 notes. Thanks to BeerLayer85 for sharing a growler of this; thanks Ross! 32 oz. growler filled about 5 days ago into HF stemware.

Pours a hazy, murky orange color with one inch white head and low to moderate carbonation evident. Tons of oranges, citrus hops, grapefruit, tropical fruits, pineapples, mangos, and floral notes. Light pine in the taste but not a lot. Not much Amarillo which is fine with me. Medium body and lower carbonation, easy to drink.

Overall a great beer. Not quite at the level of some of the S&S's, but damn near close. Loads of citra and tropical fruits, would love to have it again. Top notch.

750 growler purchased at the source on 2/6/2015 poured into HF stemware. Appetizingly hazy, golden sunset in color, with a decent amount of wavy tie-dye lacing. Typical super-dank aroma, also with notes of vanilla and some herbaciousness - maybe lavender or thyme? Taste retains many of these floral notes, reminiscent of wildflower honey. Also included is a nice amount of astringent citrus, finishing slightly spicy. Carbonation bursts along the tongue, progressing the sequence of different flavors. Very good IPA that shows some restraint and balance, which I greatly appreciate.

Picked this up at the brewery today. Poured into my Duvel tulip.

A - Pours a brilliant hazy yellow sun hue with a nice one finger creamy head that fades to leave nice lacing and a creamy, sudsy blanket.

S - Aromas of light citrus, slight flash of pine, light lemon, some bready malts. Rather subtle across the board. Actually incredibly subtle.

T - Taste is similar to the nose, though no longer subtle. Nice citrus (more lemon than the lighter orange notes), really soft pine, little bit of grapefruit, nice biscuity malts. Finish is lightly bitter, or rather not an assertive bitterness. Quite straightforward.

M - Mouthfeel is spot on, like every other offering Shaun and company create. Great bright crispness.

O - Overall, a very tasty solid IPA offering from Hill Farmstead, nice lemon and citrus going on here with a nice malt backbone. Only big knock would be the various subtleties going on. It's a change of pace from the typical aggressive IPAs/APAs I'm used to from Hill, but, not my favourite.
