Poured from a 750 mL growler into a stemmed glass. This growler was filled 4 days ago.
Appearance: Pours a hazy light amber and leaves a finger or two of white head.
Smell: Piney hops - surprising potent for a pale ale, and very enticing. Perhaps some honey and mild spices as well, but delicious pine definitely dominates.
Taste: Pine upfront, perhaps some citrus as well as honey and floral hops. It has the hop flavor of an IPA and is really light and crisp. Delicious.
Mouth-feel: Really light bodied and very refreshing - a decent amount of carbonation, just the right amount.
Overall: A great version of hop-forward pale ale. The piney hop flavor is very dominant and surprisingly strong for such a light ale. A great session ale for hop-lovers.

Had his on draft at The Pizza Stone, I think in Chester, VT.
I had no expectations, because I knew nothing about this beer.
It had the malty hoppy smell of a brewery. As I tasted it, I could tell it had a high IBU, but it wasn't out of balance. This was an exceptional beer. I asked the bartender about it and she informed me that, "the brewery is the highest rated in the world."
Needless to say the beer blew me away!! One of the best all around beers I have ever had.
Experiences like this are what it's all about!
