Arthur (1922-2005) was our grandfather’s youngest brother; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to him and his 13 siblings. In his honor, this Saison is crafted from American malted barley, American and European hops, our distinctive farmhouse yeast and water from our well. Unfiltered and naturally carbonated, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Arthur.

On draft 12oz pour @ RD, 12/10/23
Delicate white head. Pleasantly opaque honey-amber color.
Nicely sour, but balanced. Lemon, verbena; with a wildflower honey aftertaste.
Appropriately dry, only slightly viscous... Very enjoyable.
Overall an excellent sipping beer.

Poured into a Trillium glass a very nice slightly cloudy pale yellow color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy two-finger plus white head, with a pretty nice medium size island, and some pretty nice sticky lacing left behind. The nose is very nice, malty, yeasty, with some very nice banana/clove/cardamom notes, peppercorn/spicyness, some pretty nice funkyness, lemon, licorice, grassy, sour/tart. The taste is very nice, malty, yeasty, with a very nice touch of banana/clove/cardamom, funkyness, spicy/peppercorn, lemon, licorice, grassy, sour/tart. Medium body, ABV is hidden very nicely, with a pretty nice dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a very tasty beer.

Poured into a tulip glass from the tap at Positive Pies in Plainfield. Pours clear dull yellow with plenty of visible carbonation. Slight bread taste coupled with grassy foral notes. Not bad.
