On tap at the Blind Tiger:
A: Clear and golden with a solid two finger white head, good retention and lacing.
S: Grass, spice, brett funk, fruit. A lot going on.
T: Really smooth integrated flavors. Fruity, grassy, spicy and funky. Finishes really dry with a hint of hops. Excellent.
M: Light and airy, perfectly carbonated.
D: This beer was above average. It is immensely drinkable at 5%.

750 ml bottle dated 10/2013 shared with the wife after the first baseball scrimmage of the spring. Damn here's to summer closing in.
Clouded straw pour with an egg white cap and plenty of glass cling: a nice looking saison to be sure.
Smell hints at a mild tartness along with white grape skins, pepper, green apple, and crackers. Some pear lingers along the edges as well.
Green apple and lightly doughy at the star moves into some lemon tartness and peppered yeast. Pear shows here as well. Light and fizzy on the palate, drinks very easily while still allowing the flavors to hang on the tongue after the finish. Yeast clings to the finish.
Not the most remarkable saison but a very enjoyable effort that I'd appreciate drinking again sometime.

Bottle pour at the Ithaca Luminous release.
Pours a murky, rusty looking yellow, with a 2 inch off white head, and lots of sticky lacing.
Smells like peach, apricot, orange, some mild to moderate funky barnyard type stuff.
The taste is pretty similar. Just the right amount of tartness here, some hay, some musty citrus flavors, some Belgian yeast, some Brett-like flavors, quite zesty, funky, and great.
Light to medium bodied, crisp, juicy mouthfeel, very drinkable, no alcohol presence.
Awesome saison. Might be the best I've ever had.
