Cheers to my man for including this nice surprise in a Hill Farmstead grouping for my Christmas gift.
Beautiful pour off this beer. A slight haze can't mask the immense carbonation bubbling up through the golden straw-hued liquid. A soft, thick, and lofty white head comprises a good 1 1/2 fingers before fading gently to a sturdy 1/2 finger skim. Loads of lace blankets the walls of the glass.
Nose is light - hardly notable. The grains release a toasty aroma, and the yeast adds a spicy, fruity bite. The honey is just barely detectable - I really have to stretch to find it.
Especially light and tasty beer. Toasty, crispy grains with a warm, lightly sweet, and earthy honey - comes though so much more in the taste than in the smell. There's a soft herbal hop complimented by the mellow spiciness of the yeast. Aftertaste is clean and crisp, almost champagne-like. Feel is soft and full, almost creamy, with a dry finish.
This is an immensely drinkable beer and very enjoyable all year round. It's tasty, light, fresh, and satisfying. So happy to have a chance to try this one. Thank goodness my boyfriend is from New England :)

Pour is hazed golden color with a tight white head. Nose has a strong floral note, faint honey, juicy notes and light sweetness. Taste is very nice, floral up front like Clara, juicy bright fruits as the well carbonated finish brings in the sweet honey balance. Very tight and balanced, nice dusty quality mid palate from the Saison yeast with an interesting sweetness of honey in the finish.
