Bottle thanks to MrKennedy. Shared at tasting. Reviewed from notes

Cloudy kumquat with an immensely resilient pillowy white head and very strong lacing.

Plenty of bright apricot, citrus and clean honey cut through by an armada of sharp, peppery herbal notes.

Taste follows, but is on more of the sharp and organic, rather than fruity tart tip.

Jazzy carbonation, lovely crisp acidity and a satisfying bitter-tart finish.

Finely honed and a pleasure to drink. Another brilliant HF Saison.

750 ml bottle poured into a wine glass. Bottled May 2014. 6.5% ABV

Appearance: Pours straw yellow with 3 fingers of a white soapy head with nice retention. Body is hazy but still translucent, with some light visible carbonation.

Smell: Peppery yeast, honey, wheat, grass, slightly herbal, hint of citrus and funk.

Taste: Pear, tart citrus, peppercorns, wheat, honey, lemongrass. Not sour at all, but with a nice low/medium tartness throughout.

Mouthfeel: Light medium bodied with a somewhat soft mouthfeel and medium lively carbonation. Finishes dry and lightly tart.

Overall: Another great saison from Hill Farmstead. Well worth seeking out.

A- Pale straw colored body with just the slightest hint of haze to it. Thick, foamy bone-white head.

S- White pepper, bready yeast, dash of sweet honey, some toasty grains.

T- Sweet lemony flavor cuts through the toasted grain and the earthy yeast. Not a ton in the way of honey, but there is some definite sweetness. More of a citrus quality to it for me.

M- Light, bubbly, tons of flavor with a sweet, tingly aftertaste.

O- Another nice saison from HF, but I do not get much honey. More of a lemony sweetness to it.

2L growled poured into a Hill Farmstead glass.

Pours a nice, light, crisp golden amber color with a small white head.the nose is yeasty, fruity, a bit tart an sweet.

Taste is really well done. It's dry and sharp and crisp - a bit sweet from the honey but it's suble. There's a nice bitter/tart taste that's really crisp. Delicious!

Bottle

Thanks for sharing this, Cavery!

Slightly hazed golden yellow and light amber with a pillowy, light, cloudy white head that leaves lines and dots of lacing down the glass.

Very nice aroma of citrus, namely lemon, bready and pale malts, interesting Belgian style yeast, and also a bit of spice and herbs.

The flavor is very nice balanced between bready pale malts, a bit of bright lemon citrus, and slightly musty, slightly tangy Belgian yeast.

Medium mouthfeel, crisp, with high carbonation. Incredibly light and airy--fantastically drinkable.

A superb saison. I would love to have the opportunity to drink more and more of this.
