From notes

App- Nice rocky of white head that coach for the glass. Light brown/copper..in the 8-13 srm ranger. Slighty hazey but no floaties.

Aroma- funky grapefruit/citrus hop aroma upfront but not too high. True to style.

Flavor- funky bitterness very fresh but not overpowering. Hop flavor doesn't over stay its welcome but instead invites you back in. Malt adds depth and sweetness. Finishes a bit dry.

O/D- very fun and intresting example of the style. Great sessionability. Really enjoyed the beer can't wait to see it come around again.

Review #3
Pour from Hill Farmstead growler into a Portsmouth pint glass.

A - Hazy amber with minimal off-white head. Slight lacing around the glass.

S - Grapefruit, grass, dank.

T - Taste follows the aroma, burst of grapefruit. Malts are sweet, bready, I get a bit of nut flavor. Malts are balanced very well with the hops.

M - Mild carbonation, finish is clean and relatively dry.

O - I enjoyed this beer very much, quite an interesting hop. Glad I got a chance to get a growler fill of this before it runs out.

i must say the most perfect cheese ipa. pour looks amber with an nice head, lace of white. the nose is out of this world with hint of grassy citrus that seem to fuse with an strange resin quality of something going pickled. palate is pine resin with an astringency of blue cheese, acidic hints of garlic and almost like a body odor quality. a hint of walnut. but tight on the tongue like garlic most definitely. most unique single hop i think i'll ever have.

Special thanks to "BearsOnAcid" for bringing this growler back from Hill Farmstead Brewery.

A fairly aggressive soft foamy off white head forms on this beer. Decent retention and lots of lacing clings to the inside of glass. The beer is a deep copper/amber color with the slightest haze. Good looking beer.

Aroma is real nice. Grass, grapefruit peel, a touch of spice. Also if you close your eyes, you could be at a Grateful Dead concert, if you know what I mean.

Oooo, this is very nice. Fresh light bread background and a nice malt backbone. Very fruity with some peach notes. Light grass a touch of grapefruit pith. The bread tones continue to come out as it warms… but so does the fruity esters. Really nice. A nice balance with a tip of the cap to the hoppy side of life.

Very mild carbonation, beautiful mouth feel.

Really pleased that I got the try this beer. Can’t wait to pop open the Galaxy growler that Chris also brought back for me.

If this is a proper example of Hill Farmstead’s work… then I am very excited.

Well done!!

Poured into my Hill Farmstead Willy Becker glass (thanks MTGoat)
Deep saffron in color, slightly hazy with a ½ inch fluffy head.
Smells as good as it looks with a strong floral aroma.
Starts out soft and delicate with orange notes but has an awesome bitter hop bite. Beautifully carbonated. Leaves a great lasting impression with a pleasant lingering high alpha kick at the end and leaves a nice lacing all around the glass. Super clean. Perfectly in between thick and thin to make this very drinkable. Love this beer. Looking forward to refilling the growler with what ever Hill Farmstead has to offer when stopping off during our Derby VT trip this summer.

Acquired from baconsausage so a big "Thank You" goes out to him. Poured from a 64oz growler into a mug glass.

A: The beer is a bright amber color, with a large off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains floral hops, fruity citrus and light caramelized malts.

T: The taste starts out sweet with a fruity citrus flavor and some caramel quickly followed by a strong but not over-powering hops bitterness. There's also a touch of smokiness in the background. The malt character is hearty but not too heavy and provides a very good balance.

M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is clean.

D: Very tasty, goes down quite easily, not too filling, mild kick, good representation of style, this is a very nice beer to pound down for a whole evening.

Review #700! Massive massive thanks goes out to mikesgroove for sharing this one with me during Hobo Tasting #5.5 at a local Ingles after work. Served from bottle into a Duck Rabbit snifter. Poured yellow-orange with a minimal off-white head. Maintained decent lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, citrus, and pot. The flavor was of sweet malt, pot, and slight citrus hop. It had a medium feel on the palate with mild carbonation. Overall this was a pretty damn tasty brew. I was really surprised to see this one show up at one of our Hobo Tastings if I'm honest... I can also say that I have never smoked pot before in my life, but could imagine this is how it would taste minus the malt backbone. This one went down extremely smooth. Really wish we had a big growler of this one as I would love to have had more. If you ever get the opportunity to try this one, do it. You won't regret it!

A) An orange hue with a few bubbles climbing the side of the glass. Ever so slightly cloudy. An off white head that formed easily. Not always the case with growler pours.

S) All resiny herbal hops with a touch of sweet malt. A bit of bread.

T) Grapefruit hops but with depth, some spice, a bit of cracker from the malt. Nice bitter punch at the end but not too much.

M) Great body to this beer. A really nice malt backbone to complement the hops. Didn't get that numbness that sometimes comes from hop extract. Not overdone.

O) Really loved this beer. A bit different that some of the other HF beers I've had and in a good way. Nice balance while still satisfying the hop craving. Reminded me of the TLA from Zero Gravity.

huge, huge thanks to a wonderful fellow who sent this one down my way. i had no clue it was even coming and was floored. split with calton at hobo tasting 6.5 at ingles

pours out a lively medium amber with a nice tight head of white that sits about an inch on top and only gradually settles down with a lovely lacing around the sides.

aroma was perfect. rich citrus hops with tons of herb like resin mixed in. really chewy and very fresh it was just pungent and complete. each sip was easier and better then the one before it. medium feel with spot on carbonation this was simply amazing,. after taste was nothing short of spectacular. honestly just wished i would have had more of it.

one of the best ipas i have ever had

A hazy dark orange body, frothy white head with sticky lacing.

Sticky dank hop aroma. Fresh cut grass and grapefruit pith. Some malty sweetness underneath that.

Taste is a huge burst of grapefruit bitterness. Like biting into a grapefruit with the peel still on. Green, lemony, grassy flavor and a very piney, dank finish.

Carbonation is tingly. That and a combination of bitterness creates a dry finish. A little carmel sweetness and bready flavor from the malt. This hop is pretty dynamic in flavor and keeps you interested. Big hop flavor with a relatively low ABV.
