Thanks Andrew for the sample of Hill Farmstead Double Citra
This is a beautiful, glowing yellow beer with a nice, tight white head of foam. The beer bursts with bright citrus and fresh mango and pineapple. The DIPA is faintly malty that serves to showcase the glorious hops. The hops are just in full bloom, showing juicy fruit and a hard-to-describe hoppy fullness and flavor that few beers come close to reaching. I've come to the realization that beers like this are best served from the keg that's been transported, and served cold--even the best DIPA's in bottles seem to suffer compared to fresh draft versions like this. This is a great, fruity-hop forward beer, in which faults are hard to find.
Serving type: on-tap
