750ml growler filled just under a week ago and refrigerated the entire time. Thanks Don (Donfrap) for bringing this back for me. Reviewed live.
A- Pours a hazy orange golden that is mostly opaque, about two fingers of white frothy head forms that has great retention and slowly dissipates coating the glass in light layered lacing.
S- Lots of fresh grapefruit, some greeny hops, a bit of peach, balanced with a nice malt presence. Fairly aromatic with a better aroma strength then your average IPA.
T- Lightly bitter grapefruit, fresh green hops, a bit of peach juice, finishes with more bitter grapefruit and vinous hops with a fruity juicy aftertaste.
M- Juicy, very easy drinking, nice carbonation, lightly creamy.
O- This was another fantastic IPA from HF although maybe not my favorite. It had a great grapefruit taste but did not have the same tropical citrus qualities I've enjoyed in other IPAs. This is easily a world class DiPA though with a very good drink ability and I highly recommend checking it out.
