Second of two growlers in the last two weeks.
This is a spectacular, gorgeous brew. It's orangy-yellow, and appears go glow when fully poured. The aura of this beer is mesmerizing.
The aroma with this brew is a blast of of citrus- orange and a bite of grapefruit.
Delicious beer. Every Hill Farmstead brew has the same base flavor profile, clean yet rich and earthy. But this hop profile puts this beer among the elite. Slightly sweet, slightly dry, a little grassy and earthy, but orange and grapefruit above all. No booze flavor to speak of, just an easy drinking, flavorful IPA.
A slightly sticky, but clean finish.
Just like three or four other HF IPAs I've had, if they bottle this to the exclusion of all other beers, they'd have a mass-produceable, world class beer on their hands. The base flavor of HF brews is distinctive- presumably due to the well water. But whatever they add on top comes out clean, crisp, and delicious.
