From 11/01/13 notes. Huge thanks to BeerLawyer85 for sharing a growler of this with me; thanks Ross! Big want. Poured into a Bell's tulip.

a - Pours a hazy medium yellow-orange color with one finger of fluffy white head and moderate carbonation evident.

s - Smells of citrus hops, pine hops, tropical fruits, mangos, pineapples, fruity malts, light floral notes, grapefruit, and earthy malts. Awesome nose; this growler was 5-6 days old and was amazingly hoppy and fresh. Love the nose.

t - Taste follows the nose very closely; super hoppy with lots of mangos, tropical fruits, pineapples, citrus hops, lemon zest, grapefruit juice, fruity malts, honey, and floral notes. More tropical fruits than the nose, a tiny bit of a step up for me.

m - Medium body and low to moderate carbonation. There is a light bitterness but not too much at all, and it is pretty smooth and creamy.

o - Overall I thought this was another fantastic DIPA from HF and it did not disappoint. Tons of fresh tropical fruits and citrus hops in both the nose and taste and pretty easy to drink, with not much bitterness in the taste. We had no problem taking the growler down between the two of us. One of the better hoppy HF beers IMO, would love to have it again.

750 ml growler filled at Hill Farmstead. Consumed same day (11/2). Poured into a HF stemmed glass.

A - Beautiful. Golden, translucent, with perfect suspension. Bright white head. No sediment. Left light lacing on sides of the glass.

S - Wow. INTENSELY fragrant. Grapefruit, mango, honey, and fresh hops.

T - Perfect delivery of pink grapefruit. Constant taste from initial taste to lasting bitter grapefruit finish. However, not overwhelmingly bitter, and also has an inherent sweetness.

M - Superior quality. Moderate carbonation with a nice tingle through mouth. Clean and crisp.

Beautiful golden pour, with a thin head (< 1/2 finger), solid retention, and nice fuzzy lacing. Beer is cloudy and opaque.

Aroma is of the most strong and consistent "cat pee" odors I have ever gotten from a DIPA. Beyond that, dry hops, citrus, and wheat come through.

The beer is wonderfully sweet and hoppy, and very well balanced - the only malt I get is of grain and wheat. I don't get much in the way of particular citrus or tropical fruit; just an overall sweet hoppiness.

HF avoids the syrup DIPA trap: this beer has a fantastic mouthfeel. It's sweet, hoppy, and balanced, and very drinkable.

This won't go down as my favorite DIPA, but that's really more a factor of the hops chosen rather than the craftsmanship; it's really an exceptional brew.

750ml growler poured into a oversized wine glass. Poured a hazy orangey amber, reminded me of a shandy or radler freshly made. Aroma was slightly citrusy, with a bit of sharp pine hoppy. Not over powering, or underwhelming, nicely balanced. Flavor was hop up front, with the undertones of citrus. Plenty of hop of front, but the citrus kept it from being too much one note. Nice and tingly in the mouth, coated well, and not overly chewy. Overall a great beer. Plenty of hoppy flavor without being a hop bomb, and the citrus flavor worked nicely as well.
