750ml bottle poured into an Allagash tulip.

Pours a hazy yellow color with a small which the had with tons of lacing. Nose is all dish soap and lavender, it is not good.

Taste is crisp and soapy, tart funk and fruit. Mouthfeel is crisp and sharp it has a bit too much soapinss. Overall its not very good.

750 mL bottle poured into a plastic cup.

Appearance - Pale golden orange. Big white head. Laces beautifully even in the plastic cup.

Smell - Wine barrel. Yeasty. Some pale malts. Some light fruitiness.

Taste - Light tartness. Very yeasty, almost bitter. Pale malt. Some mild grassiness. Wine barrel is fainter.

Mouthfeel - Medium high carbonation. Lightly tart. Drinkable I suppose.

Overall - Doesn't reach the heights of complexity that the othet Civil Disobedience beers do, but good.

Thanks to Starr for sharing this bottle. Served in a tulip.

Pours a clear yellow-golden color with a good white head and some nice lacing. The nose has really nice wine notes, especially while it was cold. As it warms, there's more dandelion coking from the Vera Mae. Flavor has good wine notes and wheat i'm the background. Light spice. Light body and a really dry finish. Mild oak. Excellent as always.

Tap at Armsby Abbey Hill Farmstead takeover.

Light fizzy head hint of lacing, hazy golden wheat colored beer.

Nose brett funk, light saison malts, hint of floral dandelion, light honey sweetness, dry rustic farmhouse and funky barnyard, bit of vanilla and oak, slight hint of citrus and wheat, little vinous, bitter floral and light citrus like lemony hops.

Taste wow, some Brett funk, barnyard funky flavors with light horse blanket gives way to farmhouse dry rustic saison, light wheat and pale malts, juicy malts and light floral lemony hops. yeast brings in light citrus with the funk, more fruits like pear and lemon zest, with a bit of bitterness. Saison rustic flavors linger with the dry finish, funk fades and bitterness stays for a little while.

Mouth is med to lighter bodied, plenty of carb.

Overall great, amazing funky saison, perfect balance of farmhouse saison and funky barnyard Brett beer, nice malt and hop balance with the yeast.

Bottle poured into a Hill Farmstead taster.

Pour: Pale, hazy orange with two fingers of fluffy, sticky white head. Lots of lacing through the glass.

Smell: Big funk up front, with an almost blue cheese like aspect. Very earthy and some barnyard notes. Quite a bit of white pepper and a touch of white wine. Finishes with a light lemon and pear

Taste: Bright lemon tartness and white wine up front that immediately mix with white pepper and some floral aspects. Lots of earthy funk through the finishes mixes with oak and a light lemon tartness.

Mouthfeel: Really quick drinkable, and supremely dry. Light tartness.

Overall: This was really enjoyable, but definitely not as good as CD5.

750ml bottle into HOTD tulip. Thanks a ton for sharing this one, Michael.

A: Pours a cloudy, glowing, chalky straw color with a finger of bright white head that faded into a long lasting film that left great streaks of lacing down the glass.
S: Chalky yeast, wheat, pale malts, light funk, citrus and light spices. This beer smells amazing!
T: I get notes of citrus rind, melon, sweet fruits, light grassy hops, chalky wheat and yeast, bubblegum, clove, mint, pepper, spice and a hint of vinous oak. Just as complex as I was hoping.
M: Fuller body, soft and creamy carbonation, with a soft medium body.
O: This was an extremely good saison. HF does this style right. I am really glad I got to try this one. Thanks again SneezyAchew.
