American Double / Imperial IPA |  8.00% ABV

Notes/Commercial Description:
The series of experimental Double IPAs continues. This one is hopped with ample amounts of Columbus and is reminiscent of… an Imperial Harlan?

A - Pours a slightly hazy medium orange gold color with a very thick, creamy white lacing ring and very sticky on the sides of the glass. As the beer warms it gets crystal clear.

S - Dank citrus, pithy grapefruit, yeast, and pine.

T - Oranges, spicy citrus, light lemon, zesty, with a resiny pine citrus finish. Light alcohol and a lingering piney citrus biter finish.

M - Full medium body, light and very gentle carbonation.

O - This is an amazing big IPA that's well worth the pursuit.

Thanks AutumnBeerLove! 750ml growler. Split with shortysdude285.

A: Pours a lightly hazy glowing golden color with a huge, thick and greasy off-white head that slowly faded into a greasy film leaving a complex network of lace down the glass.
S: Juicy scents of grapefruit nectar, pith, and faint pine. Bready malt pokes through the hops as well.
T: Follows the nose with flavors of citrus pith, grapefruit, lemon peel, biscuit malt and mild pine, and maybe mint. Solid bitterness, lingering pine, and herbal aftertaste.
M: Medium-full body, soft carbonation, sticky hop resin and oily mouthfeel. Mild alcohol booze. Greasy, slick and drinkable.
O: Very very good. Clean hoppy, nothing wrong, but tastes like a million others I’ve tried. Not HF’s best, but I’d gladly drink it again. Thanks again, Kevin!
